The image makes the dish look a lot bigger than it is, it really needs to show something with it to show scale. I don’t know what kind of food I’d serve in it as it’s so small. (Look at the dimensions given as I obviously didn’t read them properly!). However, still is a nice design.

Like the shape, smaller than I expected but ok for the sale.

I didn’t realise from the picture how oval, ie long and thin, this dish is but it’s lovely nonetheless. Will be good for pre dinner snacks

This Denby stoneware oval serving dish is on the small side. It is beautifully handcrafted by skilled artisans. It has a beautiful glaze and is actually a work of art. It is dishwasher, microwave, and freezer safe. It is made in England and is a beautiful piece. However, it’s usage would be mostly for side dishes. If you are looking for high quality stoneware, this would fit the bill.

My son is very taken with the Halo pattern and he’s chosen to buy several pieces in the range online for his new, first home. On receipt, however, we were both surprised to find that the “medium oval serving dish” is not actually medium in size – it’s really quite small and more suited to nibbles like peanuts or grapes – and it would have been better to go for the “large” dish to have more room for serving out substantial foods in larger quantities. He’d probably buy the larger dish at a later date, as he likes the design and the elongated shape.

What a gorgeous serving dish! It is more beautiful than I expected! It is the perfect size for a dinner party as you can put just about anything in it from potatoes or vegetables, bread or sauce. I put a few avacados in it for these pictures so you can get an idea of the size and depth. The colors and design are just amazing. I can’t believe something so pretty is so durable! Microwave, dishwasher, freezer and oven SAFE!! I have fallen in love with Denby and especially their Halo Collection. Highly Recommend!!

I love the quality of the dish made in England. The design is subtle and works with any kind of décor. I’m not sure I would call it a medium size serving dish. Seems small for a medium but would work well for veggies or small snacks. I see there are other size matching bowls and dish’s to add to a collection. I’m planning a small gathering so will set out my dish and enjoy using for the first time.

Absolutely beautiful dish. The pictures don’t really do it justice, as the colors are gorgeous in person.Love that it’s dishwasher, oven, microwave, and freezer safe, which for a piece this lovely, and really more akin to fine china, was surprising. The glazing on it is supposed to prevent chipping and make it more durable as well.BUTcalling this a serving dish is a misnomer. While it may be for side dishes, it’s really best suited for a trinket holder. The pitch is quite steep, and while the measurements are accurate, it only holds three cups (level). In my opinion, that’s a small dish, maybe for candy or mixed nuts, but not much else, and I would also think it more of a shallow bowl than a dish. The price may be a little high for what it holds, but it really is a beautiful dish, with a lot of great features.

This is a nice item, well made and attractive, but when I think of a ‘medium’ serving dish I guess am thinking of a substantially larger receptacle, one capable of containing, say, mashed potatoes or vegetables for a family dinner. This is more appropriate for relish or after dinner mints or maybe nuts. So I guess this is a conditional recommendation. Still and all, if you can live with the size, you will be happy with the item.
