The DEWALT Door Lock Installation Kit helps you install door locks on wood and metal doors. It works for 2-3/8 in. and 2-3/4 in. backsets, and 1-3/8 in. and 1-3/4 in. thick doors. It features two bi-metal hole saws and a height alignment window for accuracy.

It guided the hole saw through a steel door but some of the metal shavings got between the blade and the plastic bushing and left gouges in the bushing. It did the job intended.

This tool works well but the hole saws do tend to eat at inside bore of the soft plastic guides. I don’t know if they sell replacement inserts but they should if they do not.

Super easy to use. I read some of the reviews about it and they said that the holesaw arbor wouldn’t stay tight. I did not have any issues with it. Take your time and don’t rush it. Place tape on the backside of where the holesaw will pass thru and this will give it a clean cut. Easy to use.
