It’s a good dill, have many Dewalt tools, but be aware this is an SDS drill, which means the chuck holds a very specific drill bit for concrete, so you can’t use it as a Heavy Duty all purpose drill unless you buy the universal chuck, which seems kinda a pain as apposed to just buying a normal 1/2″ or 3/4″ chuck that and handle anything. So sent it back and bought a Ryobi HD hammer drill with a universal chuck. Hope that helps.

I just bought this because I needed one and didn’t want to keep borrowing my friends Bosh Rotohammer. Tried to use a power nailer to nail plywood strips into a concrete floor that was poured in the late 60s and early 70s and the nails would just bend and not even go into the concrete because it was so hard. The Dewalt drilled through the concrete like it was butter and with no vibration like other Rotohammers that I have used. I read a report that the only cons on this tool was Noise and Not very powerful which is not the case with this tool at all. Very Pleased. Thankyou Dewalt.

I got this DEWALT SDS hammer drill and wow. I was blown away by the speed and comfort drilling through concrete. I was installing pallet rack in a big warehouse so I had to drill over 100 1/2″ holes 5″ deep. I was amazed how smooth and how quick it drill through the concrete.
