Nice and powerful saw. And is way lighter than its predecessor. The previous one I had lasted me over 20 years and hopefully this one will do the same.Same brand just a newer model.

We purchased this saw about 6 months ago and it is a workhorse, allows for fast change and locks well into a low position when not in use. The guard works flawlessly each time we make a cut. I like the flip lock tension adjustment for securing the product being cut and its quick tension release when finished. It runs stable and cuts very fast. The cutting wheel can wobble just slightly due to its large diameter before it reaches cruising RPM but when its doing the work it always gets the job done without hassle. I definitely recommend this saw for a shop that does a lot of fab and chopping for length.

Smooth, consistent power. Not nearly as noisy as others and does not falter through cuts. Tool-less adjustments also a plus.

This was a great and easy set up for it right out of the box. But disc shattered on me in the second use. I followed the directions not applying to much pressure and wearing safety gear. I’m sure it was just a bad disc.

Extremely easy to operate, and the fast blade change feature makes it easy to replace .

I’ve had this saw for about 5.5 years and no problems yet. This is a good saw. Plenty of power. Good features. It turns out I don’t use the quick change blade system that much because the blades last quite a while. But I use the quick change fence enough that i wouldn’t want to use a saw without it. Maybe a non quick change fence would stay in one place a little better though. If you clamp your piece too tight it can push the fence back and sometimes mess up the angle. But if that happens, it only takes a couple seconds to put it back (instead of a couple minutes). I think if i didn’t have the quick change fence, i would avoid adjusting it whenever possible. The quick release screw is also a must have. There is a couple things this saw won’t do very well. It’s not the saws fault, it’s just the nature of an abrasive type chop saw. The discs can deflect so it doesn’t always cut super strait. You will learn ways to minimize this issue though. Also the disc needs to have a certain amount of PSI on the metal before it can cut it. If the disc is in contact with to much surface at once it wont cut. This makes cutting large solid bars (1.5″ thick or more), and thick plates (1/4″ or more) that are too tall to be clamped vertically(so it can be cut on the edge), difficult to impossible to cut. Although most of the time you can get around this by rotating or moving the piece so it can start cutting in a different spot. If you have to cut a lot of heavy material you might want to get a cold saw instead.

Cut wood like a knife through butter
Corbin Hagenes (verified owner) –
Excellent saw!
Hilma Russel (verified owner) –
Straight cuts ok . Clamp is not square to base so angle cuts are all compound angles. Don’t but if you make miter
Citlalli Graham (verified owner) –
Solid build, cuts square tube well. Disc shakes a bit and the clamp has a hard time with angle steel. Very accurate at angles as well as 90 degs

This chop saw is perfect for anyone doing daily metal work. Cuts well and accurately. Just be sure to buy extra blades, using this saw with a brand new blade makes it unbeatable
