Absolutely no assembly required which was a great thing. Ready to use right out of the box. Does everything I need it to do.

Cuts well, very satisfied

Replaced my first one with the same one, so that’s telling you that I like it. I like the handle design and the keyless cut off wheel change

Overall the saw does what it’s supposed to. Cuts vertical pieces of steel easier than horizontal ones.

It worked great

It seemed well made , but it does require at least a 30 amp power supply , and then was not able to add any weight to the cut pressure or it would pop the 30 amp breaker. So it is probably a good unit if you have the power to run it and there is the chance I just got a bad one . I gave up and returned mine . Home Depot has a great customer service system in Durango so it all worked out ok and the reciprocating saw I got from them does a good job (just tough getting cuts square.)

I have this. I bought it years ago. I still use it. The only reason I’m writing this review is because I’m shocked it’s getting a few “one star” reviews. I also read someone said it doesn’t cut 2” angle iron. What?!?! I cut tons of angle iron, rebar and steel studs with this. It was perfect every time. If you can’t cut perfect 2” angle iron with this it’s you and not the saw. Buy this saw. There’s NO REASON not to. I’ve welded the Brooklyn Bridge and parts for the new World Trade Center. Don’t listen to these bad reviews.

The only improvement I would ask for is bi directional mitre ability and more rigid safety guard

I’m hoping this saw stands up to abuse and use as well as my previous generation Dewalt chop saw did. My previous saw was purchased in 99, and it was used relentlessly for 18 years, before it got accidently crushed. This one seems to utilize more plastic on the motor shield and frame. The mechanism to close the saw and store it isn’t as solid. Overall the saw just doesn’t feel as well put together as my other one. That being said, it has done everything I have asked it to do with out issue.
