I bought this radio yesterday and i love the newFeature’s and the 3 extra plug in’s but for the price they should have put better speakers because they sound is blunt.

It reminds me of a boombox I had in 1986.The sound quality does stink. I’m not an audiophile. I don’t really care. But, yeah, it does.The reception comes and goes if you move the unit.But it plays music. It hooks up to my phone. It charges my batteries. It runs off my batteries. It gives me a few extra outlets. It looks pretty durable. And there aren’t many other radios out there that can do all that.It’s a horrible value, but it’s a convenience. You don’t have to bring a charger and different types of batteries. I’m a pro, so I just need stuff to work. And the fewer trips back to the truck, the better.

This radio does everything as advertised. Although I do think the price is a little high in relation to the other brands out there. I have only used it for about three weeks at the time of this review. The volume doesn’t go that high and the “bass” button tends to distort the sound in my opinion. I have not tried the alternate input yet, but I’m sure it works as advertised. I do like the clock feature on the display. That has come in handy more then I expected. I also like the charging status display, very clear and easy to see from far away.I also like the three additional outlets that come with the radio. You don’t have to a sacrifice an outlet while using this device. The outlets are grounded and have run everything I have plugged into them and the radio doesn’t skip a beat when operating a device plugged into them. I was surprised while running my miter and circular saw, that the sound quality didn’t distort one bit. I also like the long power cord. It allows you to move the radio away from your outlet should you need something else close to the outlet. It also has a cord wrap under the unit which is convenient. I really like that the radio can operate on the DeWalt battery if you have no power available.Built rugged and durable, I see many years of life left in this product.

Due to a recommendation from a salesclerk at a well known audio/video retail chain, I decided to buy this unit for my workshop and I have been extremely happy with it since ‘day one’. I purchased it because the local radio station here carries a lousy format – I prefer to listen to Classic Rock. I had tried other radios, but none were able to pick-up anything except the local station, that is, unless I wanted to listen to Hispanic music on the AM band…pfft!. I was advised that the Dewalt worksite radios have one of the best reception capabilities on ‘the market’ and that advice was correct. So, far, the antenna has been able to pick-up FM radio stations outside the area like 97.1 ‘The Point’ (Classic Rock) in Las Vegas. Funny thing, I don’t even own any Dewalt tools, so I’ve never used the charger; however, I have hooked-up my smart phone’s mp3 player to it and it works great. Also, the side electrical plugs work great as well. I purchased this radio right after it became available at ‘The Home Depot’ and I have yet to experience any problem(s) with it whatsoever…cheers.

While not a bad radio, it is nothing special either. It is a radio with average sound for what it cost. I would expect better sound coming from a radio for over $100.00. You can find better sounding for less money.

I was moving into my apartment up a flight of stairs when my grip slipped and this jambox fell down the concrete stairs. I watched it in slow motion like a Plinko chip bump and rattle down each stair until it went all the way down to the concrete floor with a final flip. I thought for sure part of it would be busted but to my amazement only a scratch on the black roll cage. The radio reception could be stronger. Works great for charging DeWalt batteries. I have had this jambox for a few years now and it has held up to the Texas heat and occasional rain I get on my patio.

The DeWALT Worksite Radio charger is a great way to bring music to your job site! It is rugged and durable, and the controls are easily usable while wearing gloves. I chose this radio because it also includes a built-in charger for my battery packs. It includes power outlets for additional corded equipment- an added bonus. I wish that Bluetooth connectivity was built in (requires an additional adaptor), but other than that it is a great addition to my DeWALT accessories.

I was looking for a radio to use at work but i wanted something that would run off rechargeable batteries. I ended up going with this dewalt radio because it runs off rechargeable batteries and it will also charge the batteries when you have the radio plugged into an ac outlet . After 1hr of charging the 18v dewalt battery that i purchased it was fully charged and i was blasting the radio continuously for about 6 hours straight and the radio was still kicking. Not only does the radio sound great but it also has an auxiliary jack so you plug in your mp3 player/ ipod. . Overall i have to say this is one amazing radio and i also love the fact that it has 3 ac outlets on it so you can power up some tools or charge up your other devices.
