- Compatible with most DEWALT 18-Volt tools
- Allows for use of 20-Volt MAX compact batteries in most DEWALT 18-Volt tools
- Requires use of DEWALT 20-Volt MAX charger
- Adapter will not fit into DEWALT 18-Volt chargers

- Do not use adapter with premium batteries (DCB200, DCB204, DCB204BT, DCB205) in 18-Volt compact drills DC970, DC759. Use with DCB201, DCB203, DCB203BT compact batteries

Alot of people have older Nicad battery tools that have been on the way out battery wise, this adapter allows you to utilize newer 20volt batteries and bring new life to those tools that would have been otherwise no longer useful. It fits fine on most tools, looks a little different but if your looking for perfection you wouldnt be buying a money saving device to kickstart old tools anyway. But it allows those old tools to benefit from litium ion battery power and technology.

Only reason no 5* rating is the new Lithium batteries (or this new adapter) cause my trouble lights to flicker (or pulse) about once a second … I am working with DeWalt on this … The Home Depot order and Pick Up process went smoothly and I am VERY pleased with that ! Thank You !

the adaptor works as it should, i’m happy with it’s performance. however I have found that when the tool is not being used you have to remove battery from the adaptor so the battery will not lose its charge. the adaptor puts a slight draw on the battery and over several days it will deplete charge from the battery.

If have 18V cordless tools that are still in fairly good condition and transition into the 20v toolslike it is a relatively cheaper way to transition. I have a few 20v tools. Now I have the option of using both the 18v and 20v…The adapter works great with the newer 20v batteries…Would definitely recommend the purchase.

I have several so I can use my older tools. I recommend it HOWERVER IT HAS LIMITS.this will not accept the 6ah battery and has other similar limitations not declared by DewaltIt is very hard to remove, most users jus leave it inDon’t store with battery installed, it will drain the battery.
