First off, I am thankful that this existed, and secondly, it worked as expected.

Worked perfectly. I read comments that said the adapter was hard to take off. I wouldn’t know, my 18v batteries were bad and would not even charge. I am just going to leave the adapter on the drill and just take the battery on and off.

Excellent conversion kit, much better then the knockoffs. Yeah, I would buy it again.

this adapter worked perfectly with my reciprocating saw. my 18 volt batteries all died so it was great to use the 20 volt battery with the adapter. the only problem is I haven’t ben able to get the adapter off to use it with anything else.

Works as advertised and beyond the only thing I don’t like is getting it out once you put it in it’s not easy getting out but it does work fantastic

I ordered the adapter kit and an extra adapter because some of the reviews have mentioned how hard the adapters are to remove. They are really tight once you get them locked in place on the tool, but the batteries are easy to remove from the adapters. I haven’t used them a lot yet, but so far am happy with the performance. Got tired of the 18v battery performance and life, so I am trying these 20v batteries before buying all new tools. The adaptoers do not fit my 18v lights, but I bought the original 4 piece 18v kit in the hard case when they came out, so you know how old they are. They do fit the drills, circular saw and reciprocating saw of the old style 18v tools. I will say the reciprocating saw really woke up with the new 20v batteries, so my next purchase will be for a couple larger 20v batteries. I may add some of the newer 20v tools down the road, but so far I am happy using the 18v-20v adapters. With the prices they get for the batteries, they should lower the tool prices in my opinion. I’ve got over $600 in 18v tools and cry when I see what it would cost me to upgrade everything to 20v…your mileage may vary on that subject, but a guy has to put food on the table too, just saying.

Great addition to your 18 volt tools. At least you can ware out your old stuff.

It does function, but the top doesn’t fit all the tools that are older. So, trying to release it from your tools can be very difficult.

Takes any of your 18v tools to a 20v easily. I personally only have 20v batteries/chargers so this really helped when I acquired a 18v circular saw. Definitely recommend getting this if you wanted to upgrade your 18v tools and don’t want to buy a whole new tool.

Although there are side clips allowing you to remove the adapter from the tool, it is VERY difficult to remove it. So much so that you probably won’t want to remove it and just buy another. That is what happened to me as I just bought my second one because the first one was too hard to remove.

This thing has kept an old early 00’s DeWalt Sawzall alive and kicking. Love being able to slap in a bigger battery into an older tool to get things DONE. I’ve used it in other things to such as my 1/4 impact. I do not seem to have draining issues as much as others but it does happen. I tend to remove my batteries out of habit.
