I’m not a contractor, I’m your typical weekend warrior do-it-yourselfer. I bought the 18v set about 3 years ago and I was not impressed. The battery did not last long and it didnt have power. I was about to scrap it and upgrade to a new set when my buddy a private contractor suggested I get Dewalt 18v to 20v battery adapter kit. I did, and I am so impressed with it. My drill and impact driver have been reborn, and reborn with bigger balls.

Great way to give new life to 18v tools. Power level was comparable to old 18v batteries, but much lighter and quicker charging. Battery life wasn’t the longest, but for diy and hobby projects, I can charge the 2nd battery up quickly enough that I never have two drained batteries.
