The new batteries are bigger, holding a longer charge, but way lighter and easier to control the tools. Same fast charge as original battery, really happy I made the purchase.

They are physically larger than the 2 or 3 AH batteries but the compact design helps with tight spaces, over the traditional design of the 4 or 5 AH batteries. These have a wider base so, more stability when you put down your drill. Anyway, I like them. They have lasting power and the sale price was a decent deal. They do fit tighter than the original design, which means a little more fuss when load and unloading the batteries from the tool…not enough to be a real issue for me. However, if I used them all day, everyday, I would want them to loosen up a bit.

Works. Gives more run time on my curcular saw over the 2amps but seems to not slide into and out of tool as easy as the 2amp ones. Need strike it with hand to remove it every time! Happens on both the new battery

The original Batteries from Dewalt are lasting longer and are longer powerful like the substitutes you can buy on the market. That’s my experience. I pay rather a little bit more but buy something reliable.Home Depot has good online pricing and did a good delivery job. Thank you! Pete

The 3.0 batteries have a little different footprint than some of the other Dewalt batteries, they are a little bit longer. Well built like the other, runtime is as expected with a 3.0 ah. It did better than expected with the heat gun. The main reason I got the 3.0 is for work lights and they provide a good enough base support.
