The DCB240 20-Volt MAX 4 Ah compact lithium-ion battery provides the highest capacity within the DEWALT 20V MAX compact battery lineup. Using state-of-the-art lithium-ion technology, the DCB240 delivers up to 1/3rd more run time while maintaining the same size and weight as the DCB230 20-Volt MAX 3 Ah compact battery. Its small size and light weight provide ergonomic benefits for increased tool maneuverability and control for overhead applications. The DCB240 includes a fuel gauge LED charge indicator and 3-year limited warranty.

They are physically larger than the 2 or 3 AH batteries but the compact design helps with tight spaces, over the traditional design of the 4 or 5 AH batteries. These have a wider base so, more stability when you put down your drill. Anyway, I like them. They have lasting power and the sale price was a decent deal. They do fit tighter than the original design, which means a little more fuss when load and unloading the batteries from the tool…not enough to be a real issue for me. However, if I used them all day, everyday, I would want them to loosen up a bit.
