The DEWALT DCD130B 60-Volt MAX Cordless Brushless 1/2 in. Mixer/Drill with E-Clutch System has over 2X the power of our corded mixer allowing it to easily mix thinset, tile mortar, and fiber reinforced concrete. In addition to mixing, the powerful brushless motor allows the DCD130 to tackle demanding drilling applications. In order to improve control the Mixer/Drill has anti-rotation E-Clutch System, which offers technology capable of detecting the motion of the tool. This feature senses the motion of the tool and shuts it down if necessary. The red indicator LED illuminates when the E-Clutch System is engaged. Heavy duty mixes like no other being able to mix mud without the cord is a time saving investment.

Gentlemen-Don’t be fooled by the form factor and the photos, this thing is an absolute unit. My impact driver looks like a toy next to this thing. It has torque for days, blows through buckets of mud like nothing, I assume it would do the same for mortar. I did drill a few smallish holes through wood with it, it has the power but it could use more speed for bits like a hole saw. Also ergonomics are garbage for drilling any direction but downward, weights in wrong places relative to the grip and the handle is far to long to assist in applying pressure to the work.As cool as this drill is, I cannot recommend to anyone but a professional drywall CREW, where you’re mixing multiple buckets a day. There I could see it coming handy for speed runs simply to avoid hauling the cord and finding a receptacle, you could move your mixing area around the site at will.I’m going to be returning mine for what I think is a better all-rounder (and even bigger) drill, the dewalt 60v right angle DCD460. For only 60 dollars more you get the same or better power but variable speed, and added functionality that a powerful right angle drill offers.

This thing is a beast and so far has handled everything I have thrown at it. Easily mixes mortar without breaking a sweat. So far I have mixed about 10 – 25 pound bags of mortar and I feel like this thing could easily handle a full 50 pound bag. For the price this thing can’t be beat.

Nice mixing thinset with this drill. It would be nice to have a trigger lock for five minute mixes.

Great drill. Use it mainly on mixing material for cement and for my tile work. Used it to make some fence holes for post. Would recommend it.

I’ve been using the corded version of the tool for 15 years. The 60v version is much more convenient, versatile and powerful. Because of the torque it has many applications around the job site.

Used to drill holes through 18” timber beams. this thing was a life saver, but don’t lose that microscopic little screw they send for the chuck key holder like I did.
