The DEWALT DCD130B 60-Volt MAX Cordless Brushless 1/2 in. Mixer/Drill with E-Clutch System has over 2X the power of our corded mixer allowing it to easily mix thinset, tile mortar and fiber reinforced concrete. In addition to mixing, the powerful brushless motor allows the DCD130 to tackle demanding drilling applications. In order to improve control the Mixer/Drill has anti-rotation E-Clutch System, which offers technology capable of detecting the motion of the tool. This feature senses the motion of the tool and shuts it down if necessary. The red indicator LED illuminates when the E-Clutch System is engaged. Has just as much power as my prior plug in model. No cords is the way to go!

The battery met all my needs and expectations for power, longevity and durability.

Nice mixing thinset with this drill. It would be nice to have a trigger lock for five minute mixes.

Gentlemen-Don’t be fooled by the form factor and the photos, this thing is an absolute unit. My impact driver looks like a toy next to this thing. It has torque for days, blows through buckets of mud like nothing, I assume it would do the same for mortar. I did drill a few smallish holes through wood with it, it has the power but it could use more speed for bits like a hole saw. Also ergonomics are garbage for drilling any direction but downward, weights in wrong places relative to the grip and the handle is far to long to assist in applying pressure to the work.As cool as this drill is, I cannot recommend to anyone but a professional drywall CREW, where you’re mixing multiple buckets a day. There I could see it coming handy for speed runs simply to avoid hauling the cord and finding a receptacle, you could move your mixing area around the site at will.I’m going to be returning mine for what I think is a better all-rounder (and even bigger) drill, the dewalt 60v right angle DCD460. For only 60 dollars more you get the same or better power but variable speed, and added functionality that a powerful right angle drill offers.

We needed a second battery to use with our blower, this was perfect, use one and have the other on the charger1

Used it on our new dewalt table saw. Ripped about 10 4 x 8 sheets of 3/4 inch ply. The battery level did not go down at all. Nice. Burn the extension cords.

This thing is a BEAST. Doesn’t last very long, but when it’s on, the power it puts out feels like a plugged-in power tool. The good news about the short lifespan is that charges back up quickly. Definitely have a backup on standby, if you’re planning on doing a full day’s worth of cutting.

This thing is a beast. I don’t own a lot of Dewalt tools, I mostly bought this for the Flexvolt battery and figured the drill would be a good bonus. Seeing it I can see it will be really useful for both drilling as well as mixing mud and even the occasional bucket of concrete.

The battery performs better than expectef.

I bought this (2nd one) to run assist my Dewalt 60v blower. I’m disappointed in the run time for both because the cost of these things doesn’t come close to the value, at least on the 60v blower. I had higher hopes yet I only get maybe 10-15 minutes on these things with the blower. I haven’t tried it on my other dewalts yet, so I’m still optimistic it’ll give impress me on other tools.

Does not last as long as I would like using it on the leaf blower.

This thing is a beast and so far has handled everything I have thrown at it. Easily mixes mortar without breaking a sweat. So far I have mixed about 10 – 25 pound bags of mortar and I feel like this thing could easily handle a full 50 pound bag. For the price this thing can’t be beat.
