The DEWALT 60V MAX Mixer/Drill with E-Clutch System has over 2X the power of our corded mixer allowing it to easily mix thin set, tile mortar and fiber reinforced concrete. In addition to mixing, the powerful brushless motor allows the DCD130 to tackle demanding drilling applications. In order to improve control the Mixer/Drill has anti-rotation E-Clutch System, which offers technology capable of detecting the motion of the tool. This feature senses the motion of the tool and shuts it down if necessary. The red indicator LED illuminates when the E-Clutch System is engaged.
- Integrated E-clutch system helps to improve user control
- 3-position side handle allows for optimum position while mixing
- Continuous variable speed trigger allows the correct speed to be found
- Mix up to 19 premixed drywall buckets (4.5 Gal.) on a single charge using DCB606 Flexvolt battery (6 Ah)
- Mix up to 17 buckets of tile mortar (5 Gal.) on a single charge using DCB606 Flexvolt battery (6 Ah)
- Mix up to 9 buckets of concrete (4.5 Gal.) on a single charge using DCB606 Flexvolt battery (6 Ah)

I’m really happy with this mixer. Disclaimer, I’m a DIY’er not a pro… so I can’t speak to how well it will hold up to constant daily abuse instead of weekend warier abuse. The first thing I noticed was how beefy this mixer is, it’s very solid, has a lot of heft to it, and the gearbox is BIG. It’s a true mixer that turns at a nice slow 600 RPM… fast enough to mix your material but not so fast that it’s slinging it out of the bucket. I can’t stress enough how impressed I am with beefy gearbox on this. It was able to turn half a bucket of mortar mix without struggling at least a dozen times and the battery still said it had lots of charge left. It’s using the beefier 60v battery, but it’s compatible with 20v chargers. It includes a fast charger (the kind with a fan built in) but it also works with the older regular (slow) 20v chargers. It doesn’t have a D-Handle but it does have a bar handle. The bar can be moved from left, to right, to top – so you have some flexibility in how you want to position yourself, the mixer, and the bucket. Corded mixers work fine, but with the advances in battery technology why not use a cordless one for extra flexibility if you can?

Not only is this drill good for mixing whatever you’d like to mix, it’s great at drilling metal. Since it operates at a lower RPM than a typical drill, you won’t get over anxious and try to drill metal too fast. At full RPM the drill bit didn’t get excessively hot when I drilled metal. I’m one of those people that tend to try to get the job done quicker than doing it the right way so this lower RPM drill kept me in check. The multiple position handle is a nice touch. Put it in either 3 positions or just take it off. It’s up to you. It’s got a lot of strength but it has a finesse when you start drilling/mixing because even if you pull the trigger to full speed quickly, it gradually ramps up to full speed. It doesn’t take too long, just enough from being to aggressive. It doesn’t torque. Quite nice.

I have several 12 and 18 volt battery operated drills that I am so used to that I do not believe that I could do without them anymore, but my problem here in the Hill country of Texas we have a few inches of soil and then cliché or lime rock that we need to be able to drill through in order to plant or install things like posts etc.as a result I finally found this heavy duty drill / mixer that his the power to take the longer stepped down masonry bits and drive them much easier and reduce the work and time to improve our property.

Mortar, thin set, grout, and drywall mud all mixed up with no problems with the torque delivered by this monster. I just wish I had it handy when doing my tile work and fireplace in my basement.

I must say I didnt really know when I was gonna use or how often I would use this drill but the past few months doing remodels and a few tile jobs it’s gotten it’s fair share of work in. I honestly love this drill even my co workers were more than impressed by how strong and durable this mixer drill is. I even find is missing sometimes because they wanna use it for their own jobs. I would highly recommend this tool to anyone who does a lot of spackle work and tile work. It’s made my job so much easier and my mix come out so much better. Thank you and salute to you dewalt for making another top of the line tool to add to my growing collection of dewalt only tools.

I received this a few weeks ago and have really been putting it to work. Such a great tool, and surprisingly powerful for a battery operated mixer. It mixes drywall mud with ease, and has enough power to make drilling through the hardest surfaces without any loss of power a breeze. I love having a mixer/drill that does not need a cord to have the power it needs to get the job done. I highly recommend this tool!

The DEWALT 60V MAX Drill is quite drill with unbelievable power as any corded drill. A VERY heavy duty drill. Comes with a case that holds all accessories, drill and charger easily. You get the charger, battery, chuck key, and extension support. It has a nice slow speed start and stop to allow good drilling. It is very heavy to use and would not be a good choice for tight spaces. I used it to drill holes in concrete and it worked fantastic like cutting through putty. Only issue for me is that charger is noisy when charging. This is not a problem because I charge in my garage. I would highly recommend this drill to anyone who needs to do heavy duty drilling or as it comes advertised as a mixer.

This mixer was a pleasure to use. I’ve mixed alot of different types of paint, cement, grout, etc and this tool was hands-down easy to use and very powerful. The 60V Max Mixer/Drill is a very welcome addition to my tool kit.

This is very powerful drill and mixer. It is extremely rugged and heavy-duty. I have other drills but none that has the power to mix 19 buckets of drywall mix in a single charge. I can’t say that I will be testing that out but it makes me comfortable knowing that we can get our projects done without having to re-charge.It comes with a large 60/20v battery that can be used with other compatible Dewalt tools. It also comes with a fast charger, a carrying case and a detachable hand-grip.The hand-grip can be attached at three different spots (both sides and the top) for ease of use.

Holy moly, this drill is a powerhouse! I’m giving it five stars, and not only because I was able to plant 46 bulbs in 25 minutes!!! (See photos.)Pros:VERY heavy duty drill.Comes with a nice case that it and all accessories fit in easily.Comes with a protector for the battery when you do not have it installed on drill.Comes complete with charger, battery, chuck key, extension support.Nice slow speed start and stop to allow good mixing / drilling. It was very easy to figure out how to attach the handle, use the chuck key for extra tightening, etc.Tips:The drill itself would be very heavy to use all the time, and would not be a good choice for tight spaces. However, it is not intended for that. It is perfect for mixing or other heavy-duty applications where you want to avoid twisting your wrists…, it’s fantastic.Love this drill. I’ll be using it for life!

I’ve used this mixer for many jobs and I’m amazed. I did everything from mixing drywall, concrete, and even drill holes in the ground with a 4″ auger. The E-Clutch feature is definitely a plus. Any other mixer/drill would of broke my wrists with the workout I put this through. This DeWALT mixer/drill had so much power it handled everything I could put it through. Even mixing a 5 gallon bucket of concrete was just as smooth as whipping up drywall mud. Yet it would quickly stop if needed instead of twisting my arms off. If you mix anything definitely buy this DeWALT mixer/drill.

I am a huge fan of the DeWalt line of tools. I was so excited to be offered a real, Power tool to evaluate, First lets talk about the DCD130, This is a big tool, A handful, If you need it’s kind of power, It’s designed as a Drill/Mixer I have no experiences with mixing mortar or plaster, I did attempt to mix a gallon of stain I had on hand for a future project, Worked fantastic, Also chucked up a 16″ long twist , self feeding 1-1/4 ” that I normally need my 110V joist drill to drive, No trouble running it to it’s chuck. Great power, Balance, The chuck is very well finished Even under cut jaws slightly to accept very fine bits. I hesitate to mention there was some miscommunication regarding battery selection this tool requires the FLEX line of battery, I had hoped to use the 20V battery’s I already own, Just be sure to check compatibility.
