This drill saves me time to do all my work I am electrician and I always use extension cords but now no more.

I bought this to mix tile mortar and self leveling cement and so far I am more than impressed. I’ve used it a few times to mix both and cant beleive how great it works! Power of a corded tool without tripping over cords and wires on the jobsite.

This drill is as powerful as old school Milwaukee hole hawg. I am an electrician and I can drill out an entire 1800 sq ft. House on 2 batteries. Batteries take about 1/2 hour to charge. Never going back to using a corded one!

Like the title says this tools clutch engages flawlessly and saves your wrist in a bind. Bores through metal like a powerful VSR drill should. The handle can go on the left or right and is definitely needed at all times, especially when using this with a mixing bit for grout or concrete. If you get one you won’t be disappointed in the performance and safety features.

I use this daily to rough in line sets for A/C units and it’s made my life so much easier. Using a 4.5″ hole saw its tremendously faster than any other drill or my bosses milwaukee hole hawg. The E clutch saves my wrists if it binds up and I recently used it on an old barn renovation into an office and had to bore through about 20 6×6 columns to run electric and linesets for 4 split units. Get a second battery so you can work continuously for an entire day. Definitely one of the top best purchases I’ve made to date other than the oscillating tool!

Had my doubts about a Battery tool replacing my hole hawg but I have to say this thing is amazing. Slightly heavier but not enough to out way the convenience of being cord free moving around the job site.

The workers were thrilled with this drill. We are building a home and doing some of the labor. This drill made drilling access holes for the romex cable so much easier.

Purchased this drill with 9.0 Ah batteries, and added a tool lanyard for safety while working aloft. Overall, very impressed with the torque and battery life. Drill is performing superbly.

New design and voltage pack with the DeWalt quality that I enjoy. This will complete my DeWalt collection for all around compatibility and usefulness.

I had been eyeing this at the supply house for a while. A bit skeptical. A battery powered hole hawg? It is a beast of a tool. I love it. The clutch makes all the difference. With the fast charger and 2 batteries, I had no problem drilling out a 4000ft house. Freedom from the cord was the best. I hope it holds up and I don’t have to edit this review

I needed to drill holes to run wiring in my new addition. As a petite female, I was looking for an alternative to the cordless Dewalt drill that my husband uses which basically takes a lot of strength to drill the holes and not have the drill ripped out of your hand. All of our cordless tools are Dewalt, so I obviously looked to Dewalt for a solution. This tool is awesome. First, though it is heavy, it is ergonomically designed so the weight is evenly distributed. Second, it is easy to hold and to drill the holes, even in tight spaces. One thing which is an added bonus – the flexvolt batteries. I probably would never have bought the batteries but now that we own them, we can’t live without them. They last forever in the smaller drills and cordless tools and provide enough power to easily drill through three two by fours! I drilled the electrical holes in my new addition which included a bedroom, new bathroom, dining room and laundry room on one battery. Awesome tool – highly recommended.

The drilling power behind this drill is incredible. You get the drill, the battery, the charger and a handy carrying case too. It is part of the DeWalt Max battery line so the battery is magically able to be used between any of the Max battery tools. I prefer that type of system and technology. It can power through 6 inches of wood or 1/2 inch of steel and everything in between. I did have to hold on tightly to it as I drilled a 5/8 inch hole through 4 4×4 pressure treated post but it went through quickly. The battery should be fully charged before you use it as it doesn’t come fully charged. The battery has the power to drill though up to 138 holes in 2 1/2 inch wood….that’s a lot of power! The charger is also smart enough to know if the battery is either too hot or too cold and automatically switches to a special charging mode till the battery reaches the right temperature and then goes into a normal charge rate. That also extends the life of the batteries. It is a professional heavy duty tool weighing in over 21 lbs., built solid and strong for on the job toughness.I liked the handy LED light and the location of the controls for speed, it has 2 speeds, forward and reverse and the trigger control are all located in convenient positions. The Bail handle and removable side handle (either side) make controlling the drill easy and safe. Also make for accurate positioning and drilling. It also has what is called an “E-Clutch” which controls the torque should the drill bit start to “bite” into the material. It slips giving off a clicking noise as well as a visual indicator light that the “E-Clutch” is engaged. Releasing the trigger resets it. That feature also makes controlling all that power more manageable and safe too.It has a 1/2 inch chuck and key so it can accept hundreds of different types of bits.DeWalt has thought the design of this tool out very carefully and very efficiently. It is a professional, powerful tool built to last and built to perform

Drilled over 150 holes still had power left in the battery and didn’t hurt my wrist

I bought 6 months ago and let me tell you this is one of the greatest tool i ever owned, i work as an electrician and having a 60 volt drill comes as a blessing. Im able to drill roughly 450-500 holes using 1.5 fully charged batteries. My only issue with Dewalt is how come they didnt bring this product out back when i was struggling with 50 ft of an extension cord.

I’m using it for electrical work .Drill has plenty of power. It is heavier than a standard hole hawg..Battery wears out in about 45 minutes of drilling ,and take 1 hour to charge . I am able to drill out a small tract home if both batteries are fully charged.. If you need more time than that buy extra batteries
