The DEWALT DCD470 60-Volt MAX In-Line Stud and Joist Drill is DEWALT’s most powerful drill on the market. It is designed to handle a wide range of large drilling applications. In addition to the integral clutch, the DEWALT anti-rotation E-Clutch System, offers technology capable of detecting the motion of the tool. I’ve no trouble with any of the Flexvolt batteries I’ve purchased, but I think DeWalt should make clear on the package that the 9Ah rating applies when used with a 20V rated tool; and the theoretical rating is 3Ah when used with a 60V tool. A good explanation of why this is so is at: http://toolsinaction.com/dewalt-flexvolt-12-0-ah-battery-review/. As a side note, one importanat reason DeWalt Flexvolt and 20V Max are wired in groups not exceeding 20V is that the pack meets the FAA limit for batteries and can be carried aboard aircraft, so don’t throw away the flight adapter packed on the battery.

I bought this (2nd one) to run assist my Dewalt 60v blower. I’m disappointed in the run time for both because the cost of these things doesn’t come close to the value, at least on the 60v blower. I had higher hopes yet I only get maybe 10-15 minutes on these things with the blower. I haven’t tried it on my other dewalts yet, so I’m still optimistic it’ll give impress me on other tools.

This muthafuka is a beast! God I ain’t never had a right angle bit eat through through wood like this one…..ever! It’s kinda big but man oh man it pulls when you hit that trigger! This this drills with one of three battery lights lit like it’s fully charged. I’d recommend this over the Milwaukee right angle drill any day!

I recently bought two of these DeWalt 9 Ah Lithium Ion battery packs as back up batteries for my DeWalt mower as well as the other DeWalt battery-powered tools I have (chain saw and circular saw). It is great having the extra capacity so that I do not have to worry about whether I will run out of power. The batteries come with a protective cover (see picture), and there is a battery status button on the side so you always know the level of charge. I highly recommend this 9 Ah battery. It is the largest capacity DeWalt battery and well worth the cost.
