The DEWALT DCD470 60-Volt MAX In-Line Stud and Joist Drill is DEWALT’s most powerful drill on the market. It is designed to handle a wide range of large drilling applications. In addition to the integral clutch, the DEWALT anti-rotation E-Clutch System, offers technology capable of detecting the motion of the tool. This feature senses the motion of the tool and shuts it down if necessary. The red indicator LED illuminates when the E-Clutch System is engaged.

The battery was purchased as an accessory to the cordless hedge trimmer; it fit correctly and actually seemed to provide a counter-balance to the tool. It charged to full capacity in less than 1 hour. It should provide extended service to what is probably a heavy-draw appliance. Should work equally well with the cordless chain saw. Typical DeWalt quality, that is to say it rocks. Rather a pricey accessory but well worth the price.
