This drill is lightweight and compact allowing for the use in tight spots. It when in hammer drill application it hits surprisingly hard for such a small drill. Dewalt did it again.

Just replaced T1-11 siding on shed outside wall 12’ x 8’. I was impressed with the drill hammer ability and the battery lasted through the project without needing recharged! My previous drill would have been spent way before 1 sheet .With the setting on ‘hammer’, it had no problems with inserting the 3” exterior grade screws, and never stripped any of the screw heads!I have also used on other household chores and the small led light has been improved. This light is at the the battery where the light shines where you need it to help see the screw head. I have always purchased dewalt drills and last about 6 years. But to be honest I try to do more than the drill should do . But I feel they hold up well. I am a weekend home improvement person and not afraid to tackle projects. Very impressed with product and would recommend purchasing this for your home improvement projects. Thank you dewalt!

I purchased this tool for my wife to use around the house cause it is so light weight. she seems content and hasent broke it yet useing it as a hammer. There was some initial confusion on what a hammer drill is. My only complaint is as usual after purchasing it like most things at home depot I go to another store a few days latter and they have it for a better price or a better combo for less this has happend so often and the temple texas store is often so poorly stocked that the home depot has become the last place I useally shop
