More power for tools. Lighter weight. Best to dedicate to a tool.

Only reason no 5* rating is the new Lithium batteries (or this new adapter) cause my trouble lights to flicker (or pulse) about once a second … I am working with DeWalt on this … The Home Depot order and Pick Up process went smoothly and I am VERY pleased with that ! Thank You !

I have several so I can use my older tools. I recommend it HOWERVER IT HAS LIMITS.this will not accept the 6ah battery and has other similar limitations not declared by DewaltIt is very hard to remove, most users jus leave it inDon’t store with battery installed, it will drain the battery.

Haven’t really had a chance to use it yet. But I’m sure it will work fine.

the adapter works great. I’m pleased I got it.

Great idea change 18 volts to 20 V works perfectly

adapter works with all of my 18 volt tools, but is very hard to remove once it is installed. Just easier to buy an adapter for every tool.

The adapter does what it is designed to do, however I find it hard to remove from whatever tool they’re attached to. I ended up buying 4 of them to permanently leave on all my 18 volt tools. They should remove easily when squeezing the tabs but that’s not the case. I’m glad I bought these as it allows me to use the newer 20 volt battery with older 18 volt tools.

Takes any of your 18v tools to a 20v easily. I personally only have 20v batteries/chargers so this really helped when I acquired a 18v circular saw. Definitely recommend getting this if you wanted to upgrade your 18v tools and don’t want to buy a whole new tool.

this adapter worked perfectly with my reciprocating saw. my 18 volt batteries all died so it was great to use the 20 volt battery with the adapter. the only problem is I haven’t ben able to get the adapter off to use it with anything else.

I ordered the adapter kit and an extra adapter because some of the reviews have mentioned how hard the adapters are to remove. They are really tight once you get them locked in place on the tool, but the batteries are easy to remove from the adapters. I haven’t used them a lot yet, but so far am happy with the performance. Got tired of the 18v battery performance and life, so I am trying these 20v batteries before buying all new tools. The adaptoers do not fit my 18v lights, but I bought the original 4 piece 18v kit in the hard case when they came out, so you know how old they are. They do fit the drills, circular saw and reciprocating saw of the old style 18v tools. I will say the reciprocating saw really woke up with the new 20v batteries, so my next purchase will be for a couple larger 20v batteries. I may add some of the newer 20v tools down the road, but so far I am happy using the 18v-20v adapters. With the prices they get for the batteries, they should lower the tool prices in my opinion. I’ve got over $600 in 18v tools and cry when I see what it would cost me to upgrade everything to 20v…your mileage may vary on that subject, but a guy has to put food on the table too, just saying.

Works as advertised and beyond the only thing I don’t like is getting it out once you put it in it’s not easy getting out but it does work fantastic

All my tools are 18v and this is a great adapter to be using 20 v.

If have 18V cordless tools that are still in fairly good condition and transition into the 20v toolslike it is a relatively cheaper way to transition. I have a few 20v tools. Now I have the option of using both the 18v and 20v…The adapter works great with the newer 20v batteries…Would definitely recommend the purchase.
