I have had this drill for almost 2 years and put it thru a lot of work. The metal ratcheting chuck finally gave up on me, locking a drill bit in there and I can not get it out. The drill itself still operates perfectly. I am very happy with my purchase and hope I can find a replacement chuck so I can continue to use my drill.

I own a number of DEWALT drills, some drills, some hammer drills, and either 18v or 20v. This is the one I reach for first. It has the power I need, and the compact size lets me get into more tight spaces than the other drills.The only thing I would wish for is the holder for the bit driver.

I initially bought this drill for drilling 1/2” holes in 1/8” steel. This drill has plenty of power and a very long runtime with the 2Ah batteries. The chuck holds the drill bits very securly and i am a huge fan of it not being plastic. The light is very bright and is good enough for my liking. The handle is the most comfortable out of all my previous drills. Thiss drill has started my love of Dewalt cordless 20v XR tools. 5yrs and drill is still going strong
