I have been purchasing DeWalt tools for my Handyman Buisness for about 2 years now and this Hammer-Drill is hands-down the best on the market. There is a reason I have been so attached to the Dewalt brand and that reason lies with the craftsmanship, quality, durability, and aesthetics. Coupled with the 5AH and 6AH battery packs there has NOT been a job I have come across where this drill has not been a main driver to that jobs success (no pun intended). The hammer drill is powerful, and at the same time convenient and compact. The added work-light on top of the battery pack is the perfect add-on, fully illuminating the point of contact and more. There have been a few occasions where the light has been my flashlight for the task at hand. I cannot say enough for this product, the power that this drill packs is unmatched by the competitors, and I will continue to purchase and promote the DeWalt brand to my clients, friends and family. DeWalt tools might cost a bit more, HOWEVER, I can just about guarantee that you will not need to buy any other tool in the category. These black and yellow beauties will make you far more in the long run, as these tools will be the last tools you will need to buy, guaranteed for LIFE. I cant wait to get my hands on more DeWalt products, and I cant thank the team at DeWalt enough. This Drill is a must-buy for anyone who enjoys working with their hands, and who values quality, dependable tools.

I bought this drill a few years ago after having a Porter cable set for many years. Thouroughly impressed with the power and how long it has stood up to the test of time. I no longer use it on a daily basis as my contractors supply our power tools, but I know when I need it at home its ready and willing. The hammerdrill setting is fantastic on most uses.. red brick seems to give it a challenge, nothing the Dewalt sds plus cant handle though. As a warning..this drill has enough torque to rip a man off a ladder.

The ability to switch quickly between the drill to hammer drill option is amazing. I figured for the size it probably wouldn’t be powerful enough to replace my big corded bosch hammer drill but for installing 1/4 anchors it really saves me the time and muscles just carrying this drill and a few batteries around! Don’t let the small size fool you this little guy is mighty!

I’ve had a Dewalt drill for years and keep replacing it with similar drills. I finally upgraded to the 20vMax system and am so glad I did.
