I own several Dewalt tools in the 20V and 60V line. I love the DCD996 and seen this one so bought it and I am impressed. It has alot of power for a small size Hammer drill. It is my go to daily use drill now. I have had it 2 weeks and have used it hard without any single hiccup so far. Thanks Dewalt for making this compact Hammer dill :).

The first time I use this I almost broke my wrist. I was not expecting the amount of torque this beast delivers. The 5.0 battery I can use this thing all day long no problem. Some people have told me I think it’s a little heavy but I’m a big guy and I don’t have any problems using it all day. I’ve used the hammer drill on concrete slab and on concrete block. It works all right for softer concrete but if you’re planning on drilling a lot of holes, especially in older concrete, I would definitely get a rotary hammer. You need to pay attention to the chuck, it can loose it’s grip on a bit. It doesn’t always grip bits tight enough.

I have a slew of 18 V tools and decided I needed an upgrade. Boy I’m happy I did. This drill took care of some concrete anchors without a hiccup.

I Bought this drill because I wanted another cordless one. I already purchased the 4 tool 20V kit. This is a true compliment to my set.

I got this drill in a bundle. I didn’t notice that it was a hammer drill. It is nice to have so much versatility in 1 tool.

I purchased this last fall and I am surprised at the power and torque it has. The battery lasts a good long time and this will drive in the toughest material quickly and effortlessly. You wont be sorry if you buy this, much stronger and better build than any drill/driver I have owned. ( I have Ryobi, Makita and Porter Cable ) This beats them all out!

I bought this drill to replace my 18V drill I had for at least 20 years before it finally bit the dust. I’m an engineer and licensed contractor and I love to build stuff. This new 20v drill is new and improved from my 18V drill. I demand a lot out of it and it always stands up to the test. I liked it so much I went out and bought a second one so I could have a drill bit in one for drilling holes and a star bit in the other one to install screws. I would strongly recommend this drill to anyone looking to buy a new drill.

Bought this drill several months ago. With the 20 V Max system and especially usi g the FlexVolt batteries the power is unmatched. My coworkers use Milwaukee tools but they cannot believe how well my Dewalt tools perform. I love to see their faces when I keep on working at twice the rate that they are going. This tool is a powerhouse!

As the title states, I am an occasional DIYer and this works great! Adjustable torque makes it easy to use on all different types of materials! Highly recommended.

I use a 6a flex volt battery on it and then I put a 16″ 7/8″ hole hog bit in it and I can drill through 5 studs at a time. I can put a 6″ hole saw on it and drill through soffat. I have yet to see a job that this thing doesn’t exceed the power of a corded drill. And I have the fan cooled fast charger so in the rare event that one of my batteries die, it’s charged up in no time. Rock on DeWalt. There is no questions to be asked, buy this drill.

Bought it about a year ago for electrical drilling applications. Has more than enough power and the 4.0 battery lasts me all day on most days. Sometimes have to swap out batteries when drilling studs on large projects/entire houses towards the end of the day. Love the 20V series.

I bought the drill set and it has sold me on dewalt 20v platform.

I bought the first generation 20 V drill’s and use them to the point where they finally gave up the ghost, instead of sending it in and having it refurbished I went out and purchased a new kit and love it. They are power houses.

We purchased this item a few weeks ago and it is the best Dewalt Tool we’ve purchased yet! It exceeded our expectations and I would recommend this product to a professional as well as a homemaker!

some of the best power from a battery operated hand tool.

I bought this drill because my exterior is brick or stone… nothing else. Flower boxes, mailbox, doorbell, address plague and many more to come… It has made quick work of everything. It plowed through solid concrete to secure 2x4s to the basement floor. The handle can rotate and helps when you’re working in awkward situations.

A friend had one and helped me on a project. It appeared easy to use for a non professional which made me want one.
