I purchased this just a few days ago, and I have already used it several times. Very solid feel. The metal chuck is a nice feature, you can feel when the bit is firmly locked in. I have been wanting to replace all of my old 18v Dewalt tools, but I was a little leary. Not so anymore, if the rest of the line is as solid as this drill, I will definitely buy them too.

For a long time I was a fan of Porter Cable tools. I recently switched to Dewalt hand tools only because they have a wider range of tools. I already knew Dewalt makes quality tools. I own a Dewalt Jobsite tablesaw, portable planer and compound miter saw.This hammer drill blows the Porter Cable out of the water. Super powerful. I highly recommend this tool. Ir Drills easily into masonry and wood. I love that you can switch from one function to the other.

Drill worked good but I needed it to drill half inch holes in some tree stumps. I had three different bits get stuck. I feel an electric drill would of done a better job. Other than that, I am keeping it in the hopes that it will suffice with smaller jobs.
