Description
The DEWALT DCE300M2 Cordless Died Cable Crimping Tool uses an electric motor to power a hydraulic piston pump. The pumping action forces a ram forward that forces closed a set of dies (not included). When used with appropriate crimping dies, the DCE300 is designed to mechanically crimp connectors onto cable to create a tight and permanent connection.
- Crimping capacity: 750 MCM copper and 750 MCM aluminum cable
- UL classified to be compatible with leading manufactures connecters and U Type Dies (Please see compatibility chart for a list of compatible connectors)
- Crimp Connect Reporting Technology provides detailed reports of work done
- On board diagnostics indicates battery life, successful crimp, service needed and operating temperature range
- Bright LED work light illuminates work area
- Electro less nickel corrosion protective coating
- Easily accessible forward and reverse triggers for increased ease of use

The tool is very robust, and very heavy. I would have given more stars except I have not been able to use the tool yet as I am still waiting for the crimp dies. I really would have liked to see Dewalt include a die set like they do with other tools, or at least have the option to buy with the tool. The compatible dies are not common and many places I have checked were out of stock.

The crimper is very robust, but also heaver than other crimpers of the same ton rating. I would have given the crimper a higher rating, but it has been difficult to source the crimp dies that work with this crimper. They are not common dies and several places I have checked are out of stock.
