I have used this gun for 3 yrs with the Senco #6 1-5/8 coallated screws and i have never had a jam. For me this is an excellent product. The Hilti Sd 4500 with the sd-m2 mag is the best but its also aboit $300 more. For the price of the Dewalt this is the best option.

I bought this in hopes to use it for subfloor in addition to drywall. Works great using the supplied pr2 phillips bit and phillips head drywall screws. Here’s the problem. Drywall screws and even gold screws are not good enough for decking, subfloor, or underlayments. One might be able to get away with using gold screws but it’s not recommended nor code in some areas. So far i have not found any collated subfloor or decking screws that have a phillips head. Most are square drive or torx. This leads to the next problem. Sure you can find many 6 inch long #2 square or torx bits but the stem/ shaft of the bit is too fat to fit in the collated attachments body. Another possible issue is that a phillips head bit/ head work together in an auto feed tool like this. The phillips can release or strip out of the screw which is what you want to happen in auto feed tools. This might not work with torx or square bit but i could be wrong. This tool is intended for drywall and for drywall or works great. Just don’t think that you are going to be driving anything other than phillips head screws. Side note. It may be perfect for fence building. I am pretty sure someone makes collated screws for fencing.

Very useful and works great! Had it for a week and worked like expected. Had a friend have to go get one because it was so nice and portable; he has a Makita cordless 18v and it has been giving him trouble. Again a great tool

The tool is excellent to have when dry walling. It just sucks in corners. And the fed and reverse lever should be elsewhere on tool.. definitely worth the 90.00 u pay for it

Works good. Screws did not always feed through. It would help if DeWalt would give the specific lengths of screws it uses. I would buy it again

The screw gun attachment went on very easy and was easy to adjust. Works great

This attached to my 20v Drywall screwgun very easy. The screws slide in the frame k and that’s it! I have not had any jams yet, but this looks basic enough for anyone to figure out.

This product is incredible and will save you valuable time. I love how you can turn this attachment on the gun so that the screws are not In your way, I love how easy it is to remove, I love that you can set depths for your screws and adjust the tip to accommodate different length screws. The only gripe I have is that sometimes it won’t put nails fully Into studs. It may just be an operator error on my part but there will be random spots here and there’s where the screw will stop half way in. Overall this gun made my drywall project much quicker.

I am an avid strip fed screwgun user for efficient large drywall jobs. Working off stilts made the cordless screwgun and this attachment the ideal choice for speed and a no cord floor. It has done exactly what it is supposed to for drywall applications. If you are an experienced strip fed screwgun user then you will have no issues with the correct application. This is not tool for onetime or DIY jobs unless you take a little time to know and use a screwgun and this attachment how it is meant to be used. It is meant for large runs on multi sheet jobs, allowing you to keep a hand free if your on stilts, ladder or scaffolding, or maneuver/lift sheets in place and screw at the same time. Straight in screwing is the obvious must, and correctly laid out framing, splice boards at butt seams rather than stud splicing and No undersized corner drywall nailers are part of the setup that allows continuous fast sheet anchoring. This is not a decking tool, so it’s a bit perplexing why you other would be rating this tool based on design requirements that require larger designs that also need different types of drivers to be effective. If you buy this for it’s intended purpose and use it correctly, it is a must have addition to the cordless drywall jobsite.
