Holy smokes. Why didn’t I buy this years ago. I not only used it to put up all of the drywall, but I screwed in all of the strapping as well. I love the dewalt 20v line up and I can say I have most of the tools. They just work. That’s what it’s about for me. Grab it, and it works.

If you have ever came in to work, and your superintendent let’s you know right away 40 sheets of 5/8″x54″x12′ sheetrock is the number of boards every two man team should average in eight hours, and you have always lived by the “work smarter, not harder” saying, having an extra trick or two in your bag, can sometimes mean the difference between getting laid off when all the rock is hung, (with most of the other hands)or staying until the punch list is complete. This screwgun is just one of those tricks. While the other guys are tripping over cords, or fighting for outlets, you’re up and running circles around them…..Got to install residential grade metal roofs, and the home owner “hates the dimples the screws are making in the metal”? Lay down that impact and dig this puppy out again, here….you’ll be at the bank depositing a check, when before, you’d be wrapping up cords, or loosening screws, two half turns apiece, because your impact drove them in a little too far.All jokes and stories aside, this IS a great addition to your (if you’re like me)rapidly growing 20v Dewalt arsenal….not having to drag cords is reason enough to at least TRY this screwgun …..aside from that, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised how well it does work…..it seems to drive screws just as quick as a corded, but with lower RPMs…somehow….which also means when that occasional slip happens, you just might avoid stiches, or backing a screw out of your paw…..anyhow….give this thing a shot…..bet ya wont return it…..and you’ll say “maybe that crazy hillbilly, had a point”….imagine that…………

Prior to purchasing this, I wasn’t sold on spending more money to purchase another drill. I mean, why spend more money when you already own a power drill and impact drill? But WOW, this is a game changer!!! To be fair, I can’t compare it to other screw guns because this is my first purchase. All I can say is I was thoroughly impressed with the speed and quality of this gun. I’ve used it for one project, and I’m itching to use it for the next one. Screw gun is a must, and Dewalt did not disappoint!

Excelent Drywall gun

The gun is light weight and hooks well to your tool belt. What bothered me was it didn’t feel like you were hitting the studs with the screws. It was hard to distinguish solid contact.I’ve used the Makita auto feed- much better tool that gives you that feel.If your a pro go with Makita.

Aa DIYer it works as well as anything for that use. I would make the same purchase if needed.

Without a 3.0 or bigger battery the tool is useless. Been doing Drywall for over 40 years and you can’t beat the corded screw gun for maximum production. Would not suggest this screw gun to a professional, maybe to the average home owner it’ll suffice
