I was using a Dremel Go-01, which is a very good electric screwdriver, but the only issue is that there is no speed control, so in some cases you end up stripping some screws. The convenience of being able to adjust the rotation speed, and being able to switch batteries was crucial for me. It has some downsides like its weight and price, which is why it took me a while before I finally made the decision to buy it (

A friend let me use his Dewalt gyroscopic screwdriver for changing electrical outlets. OMG… if was so easy that I had get one for myself. I actually bought one for myself and my son. It is so easy to use. I can’t highly recommend it enough. Make sure you do your homework and get a price match on your order.

i have had this screwdriver for three months , i have put it through all the tests from sensitive electronics to rewiring light fixtures and it has become a tool i carry-on me everyday. The twist and locking is done with one hand no problem and the clutch is perfect when you threading fine screws you dont want to strip . Battery life is pretty good my old screwdriver you had to plug in for a few hours to recharge this is great just pop the old out bam you back in business. I got this because my hand are beat up and it has helped alot with my hand pain and easier on my hands just turning a screwdriver. Great product wish i had the years ago!!

I personally did not care for it, despite all the favorable reviews. I took it back because I prefer the Milwaukee M4 screwdriver. I wanted to replace my older Milwaukee M4 NiCad screwdriver due to not being being able to get NiCad batteries for it anymore. I tried this Dewalt screwdriver because I was able to get a better deal and save around $50, But I preferred the features of the Milwaukee better. The Milwaukee screwdriver has two speed settings while the Dewalt only has one slower speed setting.I liked the faster speed in getting a longer screw out. The Milwaukee also enables you to complete your job like a regular screw driver when your battery dies; I also preferred the overall handling of the Milwaukee. It feels more like a screwdriver. Now I did like the lights on the Dewalt. The gyroscopic feature is ok but not a big deal to me. I guess I will just have to pay more for the Milwaukee, since I have yet to find and promos for Milwaukee products.

There is no assembly other than charging the battery and inserting it into the screwdriver. It is the most handy tool I own. Very intuitive and easy to use. It simply replaces a normal hand held screwdriver and is plenty powerful to do that. But it not intended to replace an impact driver to drive 3 1/2” screws. It also adjusts between light and heavier tasks. A great tool.

I cant believe it was so hard to get one of these. Gyro screwdrivers make life so much easier. I was surprised there weren’t that many options. I have an older model black & decker and it’s my fav tool. I wanted to get another so I wasn’t moving my older one back and forth. Had to wait for it to be back in stock but so happy now that I have it. I use it for everything! Even drilling small pilot holes it has enough power for that. The little clip to hold extra bits is really handy too. I’m telling you, buy one of these and you’ll be so impressed you’ll wonder why you didn’t here about it sooner.

Love the Gyroscopic 8V Max electric Screwdriver #DCF680 – found an error in the Manual!The manual says, “VARIABLE SPEED: The spindle speed is dependent upon the speed that you rotate your hand.” NOT TRUE!! The speed the tool rotates is dependent upon the amount of rotation you apply to the tool from the moment when you turn it on — i.e. change in angle from when you turn it on. If you had to rotate your hand at any speed to make the screwdriver rotate accordingly, that would be a manual screwdriver, not an electric one. The whole purpose of the gyroscope is for the tool to ascertain the change in angle that you apply with your hand to control the speed.

I am in apartment maintenance and use this every day with no problems at all. I have dropped mine several times from about 10’ and once fell from my tool bag down the stairs from the third floor, I just knew it was a goner but when I picked it up still going all it did was crack the plastic cover on the battery. I love this tool .

I have two complaints:One, the handle rotation is a nice feature but the locking mechanism is not the greatest.Two, due to working in a hospital, I have to clean the tool often, especially with the China Virus. The issue is all the painted on numbers for the clutch wiped write off with using a disinfectant wipe. (Accel Intervention Wipes)
