I was fortunate enough to get one of these handed down to me by a previous mechanic at the steel mill I work at. The environment is brutal on your tools and the equipment we are asked to work on is heavy duty. I have yet to come across anything this wouldn’t break loose. Seized bolts, bolts and nuts coated in slag and molten metal. It’s never let me down yet and the battery charge is awesome. I rarely tote my air impact around because this cordless one always fits the bill!

I own many Dewalt power tools. I have worked with these tools for many years. I have a special place in my heart for the DeWalt 20v 1/4″ Impact driver. I have only owned two. The original 18 volt and now the 20 volt Lithium Ion version. This tool is exceptionally versatile. I have used my impact driver to perform so many different tasks. It would almost impossible to relate the things that I have used my impact driver for. It is truly my “go to” tool. I hate to say this but now that “impact ready” drill bits are available, I rarely use my DeWalt 20 volt hammer drill/driver. The way I look at my DeWalt 20 volt lithium Ion Impact driver is, if I were to be stranded on a deserted island for the rest of my life and I could take only one power tool with me, it would be my DeWalt impact driver.
