This is the same impact as the DCF 886. While it is a great item to do most anything I recommend getting the DCF 887. The 887 has three speeds which will allow you to run in wood screws without stripping them. They cost basically the same.

It’s a fantastic Impact. I already owned one when I purchased the combo in 2013, but the Impact had gotten stolen on one of my most recent job sites. This one seems a little lighter (could be wrong, but it does) and it does everything I need it to do. Bravo Dewalt. And good pricing Home Depot

I received my Dewalt Impact Driver as a gift in April 2020. It’s mid September and the spring in the chick broke. It was the perfect size for us ladies. Lightweight & works amazing. I still can’t understand how it broke but it was while I was drilling a screw into a predrilled hole. Next thing I know the pieces were in the grass. I’m still looking for one piece that I think it’s missing. Tomorrow I’m going out with the magnet in the same area to make sure I get everything that fell from it. I can’t even try and bring it in. Being it was a gift my friend had the receipt but lost it. Praying he finds it to at least show the age but I doubt he will. He already looked everywhere. Other than that incident the few times I used it I loved it. I’m average build at 5’4” so this is the perfect drill for someone my size. I don’t have to be super strong to use it. Also doesn’t hurt my wrist or arm after using it. I had another brand that was much bigger and I would always be sore from the size/ weight of that one. I see others had that same problem above. I’ll call the store tomorrow and see if maybe they had a recall on it or a replacement for it. Plus the other small part if I can’t find it in the grass.

Great tool. Purchased to replace one that died. (Or should I say dropped to many times and its almost cheaper to buy one than replace trigger.) With the use of 3.0 Ah battery this tool is great. Light enough and powerfull enough to do what I ask. If it does not work for what I need then I am probably using the wrong tool.
