I’ve had this driver for a couple years now, upgraded from a craftsman set. This thing tackles every job I ask it to do! The battery stays charged for ever! Kidding. But it does hold a charge for an extremely long time. The LED lights on the front help with the work area. I think this is a necessary tool for anyone!!

Item produces a very strong electrical burning smell during use, much more so than my other non-brushless DeWalt tools. I will be returning it and getting the brushless version instead. Could just be my unit.

I work in a trailer manufacturing plant, and use this 1/4″ driver daily 10 hrs. A day, and never have had a problem, they are used throughout the plant, and I cant say some dont go haywire, but its a machine with moving parts that get abused daily, some are bound to fail. We also use many other dewalt tools from caulk guns to grinders, skil saw, reciprocating saws, jig saws, drills, lights, and more, i Love my DCD885 1/2″ hammer drill…best thing ever. We also have Milwaukee Fuel 18 and 12, and Id take Dewalt all day long over the milwaukee….and Ive put them both to the ultimate test.
