Mine did not come with the bag. I tested out against a DCF887. Provided same performance for this DIY guy. So not worth the extra money unless you really need to track your tool online, just wasn’t worth it to me. But very cool technology!

This thing is high tech. I started with the tool connect tags to keep track of my inventory, and loved the security and piece of mind it gave me. Not to mention when everyone knows you’re tools are essentially lo-jacked, no one attempts to walk off the job with them. Loved the whole idea. So Naturally when I decided to buy myself a new impact driver, I was excited to see what else the Tool Connect line could do. Unbelievable. This puppy can do everything but find my keys..(had to add a tag to my keyring for that.) I can look to see the battery level when I’m at the truck so my guys don’t have to climb off the roof if it dies. It alerts me and I grab one when I’m nearby. Keeps them moving. If their building cabinets or something requiring an easy touch to prevent slipping or stripping, I can have them hold the button for a second and dial the speed or precision drive impact delay exactly how it should be for optimal performance without being in the same room… for 3 different settings. If its a newer operator not familiar with the settings, the home setting is just flat out the best performing impact I’ve used in a straightforward fallback setting at a button. Even tracks temp, trigger pulls, time operating, and internal function and coin battery, as well as tracking and last seen. Lend mode shuts down after 10 hours so neighbors actually return it promptly unless they need.n expensive paper weight. Just awesome. No complaints whatsoever with the tool. Just make sure you don’t let your phone die with the “Disable If Out of Range” feature enabled when your hanging drywall on a bathroom ceiling unless you have another driver close. Bluetooth goes and the tool locks down when enabled. But I can hardly blame the driver for my absent mindedness or for a feature functioning perfectly. Beyond anything I’d imagined. Upgrading my whole crew to them. Out did yourself on this one DeWalt.

Very satisfied with it, works great, it’s lightweight, feel strong, 4 different speed, slow, medium, fast and home button for custom speed from your phone settings. Bluetooth works great, you can turn it on and off from your phone, you can have it turn off automatic when is out of range. You can have it program to turn it off certain days (by calender) and hour. The GPS give you close location, not spot right on, but it’s close enough. After two weeks using that drill I am really glad I bought it. Even if goes missing it will lock it self and I can check the location on it later on. It’s register for one user, so It can’t be override, unless I approve it. That’s nice, that should stop stealing tools on job side, they will become useless after that.

I love the 3 speed Dewalt and love the LED variable speed switch with Blue LED a lot , the flash lite on it is incredibly awesome. The Bluetooth keeps saying out of range tho… hit or miss w the Bluetooth which makes me kinda hate the hype of it since it isn’t working well.

Bought this one to replace identical tool purchased 2yrs earlier. 1st drill, chuck was failing from the start, too hard of impact an bits would get stuck, wouldnt single hand release from that point, had to hold chuck and pull bit, usually hard. Shortly thereafter the trigger started to get touchy so that it would decide if you got full or partial power. Hammerdrill that came in combo with impact trigger failed almost immediately also but then progressed before the end of 8mnths new to not working at all. Been runninng original impact till recently when i could afford to replace, thought of different line of drills but already have too many dewalt batteries. Point is, new drill, bits get stuck similar to old one if pressed hard.
