The DCF888 Cordless Impact Driver is based on the latest DEWALT (R) XR (R) Brushless Impact Driver (DCF887). Integrated Bluetooth (R) technology connects to the Tool Connect free mobile app and Inventory Manager web-based software so you can track, manage and customize the tool. With Bluetooth (R) integrated within the tool, you do not need a Tool Connect (R) battery to utilize tracking functionality. The Tool Connect 3-part inventory management solution includes the app and Inventory Manager web-based software that work together to help you better communicate updates from the field to the office. You will get updates regarding the whereabouts of tools, materials and equipment, meaning your assets are tracked during the day and accountability is placed on appropriate crew members. Use Tool Connect tools along with Tool Connect batteries, Connector and Tag for a complete inventory management solution.

I love the 3 speed Dewalt and love the LED variable speed switch with Blue LED a lot , the flash lite on it is incredibly awesome. The Bluetooth keeps saying out of range tho… hit or miss w the Bluetooth which makes me kinda hate the hype of it since it isn’t working well.

Mine did not come with the bag. I tested out against a DCF887. Provided same performance for this DIY guy. So not worth the extra money unless you really need to track your tool online, just wasn’t worth it to me. But very cool technology!

Very satisfied with it, works great, it’s lightweight, feel strong, 4 different speed, slow, medium, fast and home button for custom speed from your phone settings. Bluetooth works great, you can turn it on and off from your phone, you can have it turn off automatic when is out of range. You can have it program to turn it off certain days (by calender) and hour. The GPS give you close location, not spot right on, but it’s close enough. After two weeks using that drill I am really glad I bought it. Even if goes missing it will lock it self and I can check the location on it later on. It’s register for one user, so It can’t be override, unless I approve it. That’s nice, that should stop stealing tools on job side, they will become useless after that.

This is a good impact, but compared to the previous brushed motor model, it’s lacking in torque. Using Tek screws into 1/8″ to 1/4″ steel is definitely not as easy as the previous model. The motor on this one also gets HOT too, almost too hot to the touch if used under stress for long enough. After maybe 1 hour it needs to sit if doing a heavy workload. Previous model could go for hours, and at that point the battery would go out before the drill gets worn.

It’s an amazing tool and all I could of hoped for but the title is wrong, it came with a case, not a bag, And if you have ever used both you know that a case is useless compared to a bag and I specifically got it from the HD for that reason, and I was disappointed upon arrival. The tool it self is four stars but not getting what is labeled on the website is disappointing. The tool was very handy to be able alter the speeds but i was only able to truly alter the speeds of the speeds 2 & 3. It has plenty of torque and the light batteries are nice to have as I don’t want to have any excessive weight.
