The DCF888 Cordless Impact Driver is based on the latest DEWALT (R) XR (R) Brushless Impact Driver (DCF887). Integrated Bluetooth (R) technology connects to the Tool Connect free mobile app and Inventory Manager web-based software so you can track, manage and customize the tool. With Bluetooth (R) integrated within the tool, you do not need a Tool Connect (R) battery to utilize tracking functionality. The Tool Connect 3-part inventory management solution includes the app and Inventory Manager web-based software that work together to help you better communicate updates from the field to the office. You will get updates regarding the whereabouts of tools, materials and equipment, meaning your assets are tracked during the day and accountability is placed on appropriate crew members. Use Tool Connect tools along with Tool Connect batteries, Connector and Tag for a complete inventory management solution.

I have had this for over a year but only hobbyist use. I have never needed all the torque this driver puts out to drive anything. I probably use this for things that are completely not necessary but I use it anyway because I love it.

Great kit that includes brushless impact driver,2-2AH batteries, charger and well built hard case.The driver itself has a brushless motor which adds to tool life and draws less power. Driver,for the power it delivers, is surprisingly lightweight with battery and feels well balanced.As a test drove some 3/8 galvanized lags in YP treated and the tool drove them without hesitation. Easy adjust speed option up top of base to easily adapt to different material. 3 bright LED lights are bright and handy in dark areas.This tool includes Dewalt Tool Connect Bluetooth connectivity which helps deter theft,allows tracking and management of tools. App is free and after a slight learning curve works well. Dewalt batteries are outstanding and included charger completes the package. Worthwhile investment in a professional grade tool.
