Quick Review: These are the views of an DIYer, a very active DIYer This did not come with the Bluetooth batteries, the regular 2.0AH batteries instead, so I cannot say how they worked. I want to give this a 4.5 out of 5. I do not think it is perfect but a 4 seem too low. I gave it a 4 because a few times the tool connect app took several minutes to recognize my phone, so it took a while to enable the driver. This is a great product. Driver performs well, got the job done every time. This would lose a half a star for me due to a few inconsistencies within the Tool Connect App. A few times, about 2 out of 10 times. It took a long time for the app to detect the driver. This was a problem for me, because I had it in the” disable if out range mode”. So a few times it took a few minutes to get my driver started as I had to wait for the two devices to link up. The last location seen option worked but was not that accurate, it had the correct street but was off by 2-3 blocks. Roughly 50-75 yds . I’m sure this can be fixed with an app update so I cannot weigh that too much. The case can accommodate 2 large batteries, l 4.0Ah and up , or 2 small batteries, 2.0ah batteries.More In depth Review: This product features an app called the Tool Connect and it has an option to disable the driver if it does not detect the phone. I found out within minutes that this option really worked. Shortly after selecting the “disable if out of range” option my phone died. Once that happened my tool was disabled. Unfortunately for me I did not have my charger. At least I knew that option worked. Driver:The driver felt very comfortable. It is lightweight, the light was bright enough to light my work area. The largest screw I tested with this was 1/4″ x 6″ and it handled it with no problem. The chuck is a spring load chuck so for the smaller bits I had inserted were thrown out when I wanted to release them. Not a fan of that. Even with the 2.0Ah batteries I was able to get a lot done on a single chargeTool Connect App:The app requires the location and the Bluetooth settings to be turned on through your phone. With the mobile data off, the two devices can still connect. But I found that those two HAVE to be one to connect. Overall the App worked most of the time. When pairing it just remember to hold the link button , on the bottom of the drill, when it was time to pair I was naturally holding the trigger instead . The app worked about 8out 10 times for me. There were times when it took several minutes to connect to my driver and this was an issue because my driver was set to be disabled if it did not detect my phone. With the app you can set the brightness of the light even the length that it stays on for, the max was an 60minutes. Suggestions: 1)It seems like the more you get the more you want, had this came with a bag, the complaints would be no case? I like the case but I think it would be beneficial to include a small bin/compartment that closes to store small items, bits, bit holders, screws, and etc. That would reduce the need to bring an extra bag or case to the site.2)It would be nice to see the Tool Connect App expanded, include note taking option for measurements and such and also include a unit converter within the app. Make it a one stop shop for those on the jobsite. Include other features tradesmen will need.3)I would like to be able to rename the tool’s profile name at any point. That is not the case now. I simply called it impact driver but as time goes t another one I would want a more distinctive name to differentiate between one impact driver and another that may also use the Tool Connect.
