I bought this at the Stanley tool sale almost a year ago now. Hadent used it till 2 weeks ago, Working on a bus paint booth trying to remove three bearings so I could align the pulleys. I tried my 6 foot extendable ratchet had no room to spin it. So I got off the roof and got my DCF899 impact gun. And it laughed at the silly 2″ bolts that were locked on pretty good!

My last dewalt impact lasted 7 years and I used it every day. This one has more power, a little heavier then my last one but I don’t mind. I’m sure the variable speed will come hand at some point but haven’t really used it much. It’s a great drill, 5 stars hands down!

This is definitely the best ¼ impact driver I’ve used. The first 1 I had for 2 years and used it off and on probably 50-75 times in those 2 years then 3 weeks ago I used it to drive over 500 screws while building a Trex deck and that’s what seemed to do it in. It still worked but wouldn’t hold onto the bits anymore and it got very frustrating when they would fall out, so I went and bought another one. I’d recommend this tool to anyone.

All I had too assemble is the little bracket that hangs on your belt. But the big thing is it will drive a 3 inch number 12 screw in seconds love would not be without one faster then my 18 volt is of course it’s about 8 years old and as driven lots of screws love these impact driver. Love my Dewalts.
