Description
This brushless small angle grinder requires no time changing brushes and offers a long motor life. Part of the PERFORM & PROTECT line of products, this grinder is equipped with Kickback Brake which engages with maximum force to stop the wheel when a pinch, stall or bind-up is detected. Power Loss Reset prevents accidental restarts following a power disruption when the tool is left in the on position.
- Brushless motor requires no brush changes
- Kickback Brake engages when a pinch, stall or bind-up event is sensed and the electronic brake engages with maximum force to quickly stop the wheel, reduce the movement of the grinder and shut the grinder off

Several years ago I was introduced to DeWalt Power Tools by my brother who is a professional carpenter He gave me a gift of the power saw, drill gun, torque drill, and flashlight. Wow! The usefulness of the grinder has been endless, recently cutting through 3/4″ plaster wall embedded into wire mesh (old school construction). This is a great grinder. Plenty of torque and RPM. I would recommend you use at least a 5 AH battery though because it does draw more power than other tools but not too bad. I use it for cutting, grinding and cleaning rust etc. quite a bit. I purposely got the model with the slide switch because it allows for more hand positions without having to hold the paddle to keep it running. Side switch can be held or locked on. A quick tap and it releases. Guard positions easily.
