The DEWALT DCG412P2 cordless grinder is ideal for most metal cutting, finishing and polishing applications. This kit includes the DCG412 Grinder, (2) DCB205: 20-Volt Max XR premium Lithium-Ion battery (5.0 Ah), fast charger, spanner wrench, type 27 (Grinding) guard, 2-Position Side Handle and contractor bag. The kit is backed by a DEWALT 3 year Limited Warranty for added peace of mind.

Like all tool guys on the net say, never buy “just a tool” always wait for the sales and bundle things. I bought this back in April when HD had the Milwaukee and Dewalt sale. It took 2 weeks for the kit to come in, but hey, it is the apocalypse at the moment. I used the HD Credit card which gave me 50 dollars off of 300 bringing my total on this kit down to 300 dollars. Doing the math and counting all 7 pieces in the kit (batteries/charger incl in the 7) this brings my per piece price down to 43 dollars a tool. I dont see how one could wrong with that. Always wait for the sales and bundles. This kit is a very good buy when on sale.

I purchased this grinder a few years ago, and while I found the cordless aspect very convenient, the battery needed to be replaced more frequently that I had hoped. Additionally, I continue to have difficulty securing a metal cutting wheel. The collar when tightened doesn’t hold the wheel in place so I end up stacking 2 wheels in order to lock them down.
