Description
The 20V MAX XR (R) Angle Grinder features a brake, E-Clutch (R) System, and Kickback Brake. The brake quickly brings the wheel to a stop in two seconds or less when the trigger is released. The E-Clutch (R) System automatically shuts down the motor when a wheel pinch in detected. These two features working together to shut the tool down without user interaction, called the Kickback Brake. Additionally, the grinder features a One-Touch (TM) Guard, which allows for single-action adjustments to change guard position.
- Brushless motor requires no brush changes
- Brake stops wheel in 2 seconds or less on average
- Kickback Brake engages when a pinch, stall, or bind-up event is sensed and the electronic brake engages with maximum force to quickly stop the wheel, reduce the movement of the grinder and shut the grinder off
- Features E-Switch Protectionandtrade; – When the on/off trigger switch has a no-Volt release function, in the event of a power outage or other unexpected shut down, the trigger switch will need to be cycled (turned off and then on) to restart tool

My last dewalt impact lasted 7 years and I used it every day. This one has more power, a little heavier then my last one but I don’t mind. I’m sure the variable speed will come hand at some point but haven’t really used it much. It’s a great drill, 5 stars hands down!

Great power tool. Powerful any easy to control with variable speed and three power setting levels. Five amp-hour battery keeps charge for weeks of light daily usage yet remains reasonably light weight. Never thought I needed the LED light feature but I’m amazed at how much easier work can be when my old-age eyes are actually able to see! I highly recommend this driver for your home and work tool box.

I buy DeWalt power exclusively. This replaces my trusty impact driver that I dropped into the lake, working on my dock. I cannot work on my DIY projects without a tool like this. It is lightweight and powerful, and the 20 volt batteries are easy to change out when a charge is need.

This is definitely the best ¼ impact driver I’ve used. The first 1 I had for 2 years and used it off and on probably 50-75 times in those 2 years then 3 weeks ago I used it to drive over 500 screws while building a Trex deck and that’s what seemed to do it in. It still worked but wouldn’t hold onto the bits anymore and it got very frustrating when they would fall out, so I went and bought another one. I’d recommend this tool to anyone.
