Description
The 20-Volt MAX XR Angle Grinder features a brake, E-Clutch System and Kickback Brake. The brake quickly brings the wheel to a stop in 2-seconds or less when the trigger is released. The E-Clutch System automatically shuts down the motor when a wheel pinch in detected. These 2 features working together to shut the tool down without user interaction, called the Kickback Brake. Additionally, the grinder features a One-Touch Guard, which allows for single-action adjustments to change guard position.
- Brushless motor requires no brush changes
- Brake stops wheel in 2-seconds or less on average
- Kickback brake engages when a pinch, stall or bind-up event is sensed and the electronic brake engages with maximum force to quickly stop the wheel, reduce the movement of the grinder and shut the grinder off
- Features e-switch protection and trade, when the on/off trigger switch has a no-volt release function, in the event of a power outage or other unexpected shut down, the trigger switch will need to be cycled (turned off and then on) to restart tool
- 2-stage trigger requires 2 actions to activate tool

Bought this just to have on hand for projects that may come up. As luck may have it we had a storm blow through and tore some large limbs off an old Maple tree we have. This made cutting up the large limbs (8 inch diameter) easy and I was able to quickly remove the down limbs.

Powerful saw. I love the wuick release for the blade and the abulity to set the blade in 4 different directions. For continous demo or cutting it is a brush motor saw so it will eat through your battery life. A 6amp 20volt battery will give you some extra time, but it will heat up and you better have some extra batteries if you are going to be doing hours of demo work.
