The DCG414B 4-1/2 in. – 6 in. (115 mm – 150 mm) Grinder with Kickback Brake is maximized for power and durability. It delivers 13 Amp power as compared to the D28144N with the portability and convenience of cordless through DEWALT’s revolutionary FlexVolt technology. The DCG414B comes with the tool only.
- 13 Amp equivalent power
- Brake engages when trigger is released, stopping speeds of 1.5 seconds with standard grinding wheel (4-1/2 in. x 1/4 in. bonded abrasive wheel, non-hubbed)
- Kickback brake engages when a pinch, stellar bind-up event is sensed and the electronic brake engages with maximum force to quickly stop the wheel, reduce the movement of the grinder and shut the grinder off
- E-clutch activates in less than a tenth of a second when a pinch/stall is detected, shutting down the motor
- 9,000 RPM speed allows the use of up to 6 in. wheels
- Allows for up to 6 in. wheel size for both cutting and grinding applications
- Battery and charger sold separately

DeWalt never disappoints! I have had many of their tools over the years and really like the flexvolt line. Tons of power and built like a tank.

This saw has plenty of power. Comparable to a gas. Only problem is batteries don’t last long. I was trying to replace gas on masonry and concrete crews. Not going to happen yet. Maybe the technology will be here in a couple years.

All the power you will ever need without the cord!

Heavier than Stihl but cuts well. Don’t know what I think about the brake. Sounds like it’s broken when you manually turn it.

The guard is easily adjustable and the tool is comfortable to use. Very happy with the performance and battery life. I have used for both heavy steel and sheet metal and it performed well for both.

I immediately rotated the head of the tool 90 degrees to give it that cut off tool look and feel. I purchased dewalt a 6 inch cut off guard for it and with their 6 inch .045 discs. It works great and has plenty of power to cut rebar efficiently. I’d say if you let the tool do the work it takes 4-5 seconds to cut a #4 rebar. I have also used it with a diamond blade to score concrete or sculpt a joint that was missed. This is by far the best grinder I have used and it’s cordless. The startup is soft and doesn’t get thrown out of your hand. The pinch protection makes it much safer to use and if you do get a bind and the disc is damaged, change it. It’s easy to change, all you need is the Hex key that’s supplied. Definitely recomend this and have cut thousands of rebar and poles with this tool. Good job dewalt!

I’m used to air cut off tools and corded grinders. This is by far the best grinder/cut off tool I’ve had to date. A couple batteries are useful if you’re planning on running a larger job, but this tool does the job very well! I’d buy again any day.

I used it to cut out windows and door opening in a masonry house was very pleased. It is much lighter then the saws I rented in the past and easier to maneuver plus most are gas powered and doing inside work is impossible due to fumes. I was impressed how much power it has .

I definitely put this tool to the test! Hours of rigorous work and it runs with his much power as a plug-in grinder as long as you have enough batteries

I’ve had this for about a year now and the power is the same as my 11amp paddle switch grinder. It does burn thru the 6AH batteries quickly so I recommend anything higher.

Great tool!

Works great with lots of power. The fact it can do both 6in – 4in discs is handy. Runtime is good for my needs.

I’ve had the grinder for about 3 months now, couldnt be happier with it. Lots of run time with the 60v battery and power. I’ll never go back to a corded one

Plenty of torque and life.

Great unit with power to grind all day with the big battery. We balanced.

Cuts through concrete like butter. Unit is sealed really good. Barely had to turn on the water to keep dust down. No force needed when cutting, you practically let the weight of the tool do the cutting. To keep continously cutting you will need 4 batteries a double charger. Love this tool!
