The DCG414B 4-1/2 in. – 6 in. (115 mm – 150 mm) Grinder with Kickback Brake is maximized for power and durability. It delivers 13 Amp power as compared to the D28144N with the portability and convenience of cordless through DEWALT’s revolutionary FlexVolt technology. The DCG414B comes with the tool only.
- 13 Amp equivalent power
- Brake engages when trigger is released, stopping speeds of 1.5 seconds with standard grinding wheel (4-1/2 in. x 1/4 in. bonded abrasive wheel, non-hubbed)
- Kickback brake engages when a pinch, stellar bind-up event is sensed and the electronic brake engages with maximum force to quickly stop the wheel, reduce the movement of the grinder and shut the grinder off
- E-clutch activates in less than a tenth of a second when a pinch/stall is detected, shutting down the motor
- 9,000 RPM speed allows the use of up to 6 in. wheels
- Allows for up to 6 in. wheel size for both cutting and grinding applications
- Battery and charger sold separately

Purchase about 6 months ago. The power output is monsterous and being battery powered gives it an Incredibles level 4 security… My main concern is that I’m having a hard time finding accessories in anticipation of the new OSHA standards… Mainly interested in purchasing a DeWalt brand dust shroud and cannot seem to find one anywhere also it seems a little bit strange to me that it’s labeled as a 4 and 1/2 and 6 inch grinder and I’m wondering if it will work with 7 inch discs which tend to be the standard for the larger diameter grinding cups and cut off wheels

We got of these at work and it slices through thick welds easy. Be careful the sparks were noticeably hotter than other grinders.

I demo-ed one at a tool show before I purchased and could not believe the power. I have several 4.5″ corded grinders that now sit alot. I always go for the FLEXVOLT now. It powers the 6″ grinding wheel with ease. Does more work in less time than the 4.5″ corded.Since purchasing the grinder I have purchased the FLEXVOLT circular saw, string-trimmer and leaf blower. The are AWESOME. The power for the convenience of no cord or gas is incredible. Also the fact that the 60 volt FLEXVOLT batteries can be used in your 20 volt tools is great. Dewalt has not constantly changed their batteries compared to other brands has kept be a loyal customer.
