- Brake engages when trigger is released, stopping speeds of 1.5-seconds with standard grinding wheel (4-1/2 in. x 1/4 in. bonded abrasive wheel, non-hubbed)
- Kickback brake engages when a pinch, stellar bind-up event is sensed and the electronic brake engages with maximum force to quickly stop the wheel, reduce the movement of the grinder and shut the grinder off
- E-clutch activates in less than a tenth of a second when a pinch/stall is detected, shutting down the motor
- 9,000 RPM speed allows the use of up to 6 in. wheels
- Allows for up to 6 in. wheel size for both cutting and grinding applications

For the price (Home Depot had sale), it was excellent purchase. As expected, the battery is heavier than most 20 volt DeWalt battery but it has enough power and longevity to power and last through a whole day worth of work. It has a 3 bar led indicator to tell you how much charge is remaining. I even use it to charge my cell phone while I’m on the road (with a purchase of a USB DeWalt adaptor). I love the fact that it works on all 20 Volt power tools and is ready to work on future 60 volt tools. I’m getting ready to replace gas powered outdoor yard tools with DeWalt 60 Volt Flex yard tools. I can’t wait to use DeWalt outdoor yard tools and not have to smell gas and hear loud noise of a gas engine and having to pull start engines.

I started with the model below this one (413) and it just did not have enough power nor did it last long enough with the 6 amp flex volt battery I use. This model however has more power and lasted longer since it takes advantage of the flex volt capability. I highly recommend this!
