The DCG414T1 4-1/2 in. to 6 in. (115 mm to 150 mm) Grinder with Kickback Brake is maximized for power and durability. It delivers 13 Amp power as compared to the D28144N with the portability and convenience of cordless through DEWALT’s revolutionary FLEXVOLT technology. The DCG414T1 comes with one 60-Volt Max Lithium-Ion battery and fast charger.
- 13 Amp equivalent motor as compared to a D28144 corded unit
- Brake engages when trigger is released, stopping speeds of 1.5 seconds with standard grinding wheel (4-1/2 in. x 1/4 in. Bonded abrasive wheel, non-hubbed)
- Kickback brake engages when a pinch, stall or bind-up event is sensed and the electronic brake engages with MAX
- E-clutch activates in less than a tenth of a second when a pinch/stall is detected, shutting down the motor
- 9,000 RPM speed allows the use of up to 6 in. wheels
- Allows for up to 6 in. wheel size for both cutting and grinding applications

Had this for a few months now. Use it all the time! The strength and longevity of the battery is insane! I spent a full six hours grinding out bevels for 4″ steel pipe with this grinder before I had to change the battery. The strength of the new flexvolt line has me seriously considering changing over to complete Cordless flexvolt tools!

Ive had this grinder for about 3 months now and cant say enough good things about it. Im a welder and work on a lot of different job sites doing everything from building railings to building and installing structural steel members. This thing is an absolutely priceless tool. When its 95° and ur working 5 floors up and after packing up you realize you need to make a minor cut in something to remove it or anything of the sort, do you wanna lug 300 ft of extension cords up 5 flights of stairs to grind off a single burr? No. You dont. With this grinder, 2 batteries and a fast charger im able to practically eliminate cords unless absolutely necessary. With a pretty hefty collection of tools in the flexvolt and 20v max XR lineup me and my team are able yo accomplish the job quickly, SAFELY (especially with the anti kickback brake which has saved my fingers a number of times) and most importantly WITHOUT ANY CORDS. thanks Dewalt for the amazing lineup me and my coworkers use all day EVERY day! (Now if yall could do a flexvolt microwave we wouldnt even need to leave the site at lunch haha)

Has great torque and out cuts any of my corded ones! Use it almost daily. Only problem is right at 12 months the switch started to fail. And of course just out of warranty it failed. Oh well not the worse thing. Just give it a quick jump start and good as new!
