The DCG414T1 4-1/2 in. to 6 in. (115 mm to 150 mm) Grinder with Kickback Brake is maximized for power and durability. It delivers 13 Amp power as compared to the D28144N with the portability and convenience of cordless through DEWALT’s revolutionary FLEXVOLT technology. The DCG414T1 comes with one 60-Volt Max Lithium-Ion battery and fast charger.
- 13 Amp equivalent motor as compared to a D28144 corded unit
- Brake engages when trigger is released, stopping speeds of 1.5 seconds with standard grinding wheel (4-1/2 in. x 1/4 in. Bonded abrasive wheel, non-hubbed)
- Kickback brake engages when a pinch, stall or bind-up event is sensed and the electronic brake engages with MAX
- E-clutch activates in less than a tenth of a second when a pinch/stall is detected, shutting down the motor
- 9,000 RPM speed allows the use of up to 6 in. wheels
- Allows for up to 6 in. wheel size for both cutting and grinding applications

I have used this for cutting rebar, steel tubing, grinding, and even cutting 4×4” rock, this thing never bogs down and is amazing to be able to take it any where being cordless. The only thing that needs to be better is if Dewalt would have made it at least a 7” because 6” masonry blades are hard to find in stores and 7” would give that much more capabilities. Overall I love this grinder and have used it at least once a week since I got it last year.

I purchased this grinder at an amazing price and the performance is unparalleled! I was amazed not only by the power, also the battery life of this tool. While trying to demo a shower surround, I was having difficulty getting through the multiple layers of tile and concrete board. Using a chipping hammer drill and sledgehammer wouldn’t put a dent in it. I decided to use the grinder to cut sections out to make it easier. This grinder cut through 4” of material like it was nothing. Almost like it was aggressive enough and asking for more! I would strongly recommend this or any of DEWALT tools to anyone. Thank you for making such a dependable and powerful line of products at such a good value! I will continue to use only DEWALT tools and couldn’t be more satisfied.Robert
