The DCG414T2 4-1/2 in. – 6 in. (115 mm – 150 mm) Grinder with Kickback Brake is maximized for power and durability. It delivers 13 Amp power as compared to the D28144N with the portability and convenience of cordless through DEWALT’s revolutionary FlexVolt technology. - 13 Amp equivalent motor as compared to a D28144 corded unit
- Brake engages when trigger is released, stopping speeds of 1.5 seconds with standard grinding wheel (4-1/2 in. x 1/4 in. bonded abrasive wheel, non-hubbed)
- Kickback brake engages when a pinch, stellar bind-up event is sensed and the electronic brake engages with maximum force to quickly stop the wheel, reduce the movement of the grinder and shut the grinder off
- E-clutch activates in less than a tenth of a second when a pinch/stall is detected, shutting down the motor
- 9,000 RPM speed allows the use of up to 6 in. wheels
- Allows for up to 6 in. wheel size for both cutting and grinding applications

Grinder worked perfectly! Powerful and yet light enough to maneuver around the metal. I was a bit disappointed though that the entire package did not come with a wrench to remove grinder wheels. Completely worthless unless you go out to get a wrench and It delayed me from starting job until I obtained one.

Wow!! This grinder has incredible power, just as much as a corded one. Smooth and comfortable to handle. I even tried out the emergency brake and motor cut off when the blade got pinched. Didn’t try kicking out of my hands it just shut down and stopped. Unintentionally of course. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

Strong but heavy. Had to return first one because I was unable to remove old cut off blade. A little disappointed in the allen wrench design for loosing the blade holder. It only went in a short distance and slipped trying to turn it. Prefer Makita’s double prong. Battery lasted about 1/2 hour of cutting steel rods with 6 inch Lenox wheel.

As a steel guy..it does everything I don’t want to run a cord for. We keep three on our truck. Batteries last a good 10 minutes of steel cutting. Just take an extra battery with you if you are in the air.

I have had quite a bit of use on this grinder . Seems to have as much or more power than a corded grinder . The batteries last a while also, It’s hard to believe they pack that much energy in such a small package. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quality grinder . I have all the dewalt 60 volt line, totally phased out other cordless tools with them. Dewalt has definitely came a long way and 60volt is the future.

I went from a large bulky 7 in corded grinder that was heavy and a bit unwieldy. This grinder on the other hand is fairly light compared to what i had and while slightly smaller works just as well. Dewalt did a good job with this 60v tool as it delivers more or less the same power as the corded tools. The backwards compatibility with my 20v tools is an added benefit as it lets my larger 20v tools (weedeater, blower, circular saw) run even longer between battery charges.
