Our most powerful tools just got better with the 60-Volt MAX 4-1/2 in. – 6 in. grinder. It has up to 30% more power than the DCG414 60V MAX grinder with 2300 unit Watt out. This grinder delivers 13 Amp power with a no-load speed of 9000 RPM. It is part of the PERFORM and PROTECT product line to help keep users safe. Its kickback brake engages when a pinch, stall or bind-up event is sensed and shuts the grinder off.
- 13 Amp motor
- 9000 RPM no-load speed for applications with 6 in. grinder wheels
- Brake engages when trigger is released, stopping speeds of 1.5-seconds with standard grinding wheel (4-1/2 in. x 1/4 in. bonded abrasive wheel, non-hubbed)
- Kickback brake engages when a pinch, stall or bind-up event is sensed and the electronic brake engages with maximum force to quickly stop the wheel, reduce the movement of the grinder and shut the grinder off
- E-clutch activates in less than a tenth of a second when a pinch/stall is detected, shutting down the motor
- Up to 30% more power vs the DCG414

I have been using this Grinder for 3 years now. I have been using tools for over 20 years and This is the most powerful grinder I have ever used in my life. I have been using this grinder professionally and at home. You can work all day if you have a few 6.0 ah batteries and a way to charge them. The battery life is great on this tool. If you are on the fence about this grinder then do yourself a favor and go for it I guarantee you will not regret it!

I bought this to cut off a lock after bolt cutters failed. It went through the lock like butter. It’s pretty heavy with the big battery on it ..not sure I would want to cut/ grind with it all day, but for my purposes it worked perfect!

Battery didn’t last long on a continuous grinding like 20 min and if you are grinding flat on a table you have to grab it in an uncomfortable way because the battery hits your arm and you have to hold your elbow a little high to be able to grind and it would have been grate if they had included a 5-inch guard. They only include 4.5 and 6
