Our company tool room was always lacking the mid sized corded rotary hammers, since the remodeling crew foreman knew how invaluable they were to keep hidden in their trailers available for planned and unplanned applications of tapcons, gripcons, concrete anchor bolts, removing concrete or mortar for pipe/wire access, mortar removal for tuck pointing repairs, basement window. concrete casing removal, etc. Decided to stop wasting time finding no tool at the shop or having to visit a fellow jobsite to borrow a company tool, and bought my own cordless 20v XR SD plus Hammer drill to always have one when I needed one without sharing. It’s perfect for these quick jobs, and saves time not running a cord on our jobsite that all our other mobile tools are cordless. At larger jobsite, the corded DeWalt rotary hammers stay in the trailer due to the convenience to go instantly to any spot on the jobsite with no loss of power. Even my Makita coworkers tackle their quick tasks on my jobs, without attempting any tool jokes…

So far works great. I already own a corded SDS hammer drill but being able to not worry about a plug in spot is awesome. I bought this to demo some brick structures in a new home, so we will see how it goes.
