If you understand the limitations of this compact little chainsaw and focus on how handy and compact it is, you really can’t go wrong. Don’t misunderstand, I own a Stihl 024 and a Husqvarna 372XP, but for little dinky average homeowner tasks, this little saw is very handy and quick to bring into play.

It is a decent trimmer but I think there are better models out there. I like Dewalt tools in general and have many of them. I think this has a few drawbacks. First, the end of the trimmer has (in my opinion) about an extra inch or two of the frame, so you cannot cut the branches close to the ground. You miss about the bottom two inches or so. At our other home I have a different brand that is gas engine driven, and it cuts a lot closer to the ground. I also find the safety trigger not so easy to activate too. So I would not give this five stars. But it is OK in my view.
