The DCK299M2 Cordless Power Tool Combo Kit is ideal for most drilling, hammering, and fastening applications. This brushless drill/driver set includes a DCF887 cordless impact driver and a DCD996 cordless hammer drill. The 1/4 in. impact driver provides 1,825 in./lbs. of maximum torque at fast 0 RPM to 3,250 RPM speeds. It can make 0 to 3,600 impacts per minute. The 1/2 in. hammer drill has three speeds, and all-metal transmission, and a 3-mode LED light. Both these cordless power tools are compact, lightweight, and fit easily into tight areas. This cordless power tool combo kit also includes two 4.0 Ah Lithium Ion battery packs and a charger.

- DCD996B is a compact hammer drill just 8.4 in. long and lightweight at 4.7 lbs. so you can get into tight areas easily

This hammer drill/driver combo kit is perfect for your do it yourself weekend warrior. It goes through cement or cinder blocks with no problem. The 4ah batteries provide all the power you need. There are larger batteries, but i have not had an issue with the 4ah. I have used it on a couple of projects at home and I am satisfied.

I have been a Makita cordless guy my whole life. I have always liked the size, weight, and ease of use. However, I have always found the battery life to be questionable. I purchased this set, but was hesitant because of weight. However, I quickly became a HUGE fan of the stout feeling of the drill and impact wrench. The battery life, and quick delivery of power are fantastic. It took a bit to get used to the settings (I’ve snapped the head off of a few screws, haha). I am a old school when it comes to tools, but made a commitment to take my company into the era of “cordless” in the upcoming year. I can not be more happy to be a Dewalt guy now, and build our company around the wide range of cordless products in it’s profile. Well done, Dewalt! Bravo!!
