This 20-Volt Max String Trimmer kit is a value-filled combo to tackle your outdoor projects. This bundle includes a string trimmer, blower and extra battery pack. The DEWALT 20-Volt Max Brushless String Trimmer (DCST920P1) provides precise power control with a variable speed trigger as well as performance and run time management with the High/Low speed control switch. The patented gear drive design provides more torque and maintains cut speed under load, while the dual-line, bump feed head clears a full 13 in. Well balanced and weighing only 8.5 lbs., the string trimmer is easy to maneuver, reducing stress on the user.

I got this version on sale since there is a new design coming out. It’s not as high velocity as the gas blower we typically use, but it has very good volumetric flow rate. The convenience is great. It’s easy to throw a battery on to blow of a tractor or lawn mower after working and it’s one more tool that uses the 20V Max batteries.

Got the combo on sale. Blower is nice, light weight, lots of power. Trimmer is good, uses up battery power pretty quick so it’s good if you have a few compatible dewalt products to change them out. The swath of the trimmer is a little more narrow than I would prefer. Still tons better than messing with gas and oil and starting our old trimmer. Great for small jobs/yards and under the dock. The 4 amp/hr xr battery and charger are a nice addition to our other dewalt tools.

Purchased this combo kit after my Stihl gas trimmer started costing more than it was worth in repairs. The only thing I must say is somewhat of a disappointment is the size of the guard which is only about 6″ or 8″ wide. Otherwise, its light, well balanced, easy to load new string and the battery lasts long enough to trim our half acre lot, around landscaping, trees and all. The two speeds are convenient and the low speed is more than adequate for normal trimming. The blower is a bonus to clean the deck, patio and driveway of clippings. Gone are the days of the push broom! The machines feel well built and sturdy. No issues after a summer of solid use. A+. 5 star. Would buy again.

I bought this mostly because I have other compatible dewalt batteries from my drill and impact driver which I need to complete trimming of all of our 1/3acre lawn in one sitting. The large battery that comes with it does works well at full power for about 15-20mins of operation. 4 stars just because the battery that comes with it doesn’t do all of our lawn so it was a good thing I had the extra batteries already as spare batteries cost a fortune!
